I am like Michael Jackson

In a way, in a much less severe fashion.

No, I don't like little boys. Let me explain...

Right or wrong, I always felt deprived as a kid. I didn't get every new toy I wanted. I bought my own first car, and it was a rust bucket. I couldn't afford to put a fancy stereo in it. I couldn't afford most of the things I wanted and my parents wouldn't buy them for me. I was convinced at the time this was "unfair". I worked hard in college to get a good job, so that I could finally buy all of the toys that I wanted. I bought a Porsche. I bought a truck. I bought a house, and guns, and a motorcycle. I can pretty much afford to buy anything I want now. (Though I can't afford to buy everything I want.) I've spent the past then years out of college accumulating the stuff I felt I was deprived as a kid.

Michael Jackson felt he was deprived as a kid. He felt he was deprived of a childhood. He went out and made himself a lot of money, and spent it trying to recreate a childhood. And he did this, but on a huge scale. He built a theme park in his back yard. He collected cars instead of Hot Wheels.

I think the psychology is largely the same but the results are very different. I think in my case I am nearing the end.

I no longer feel as compelled to accumulate stuff to make up as I once did. I'm ready to get on with my life. I no longer feel jealous towards people who were given more than me.

Michael Jackson never escaped his desires. He had the means to indulge himself much more than I did, and it still didn't fix his problem. In the end, his finances fell apart and he died at an early age. Probably because of the results of him trying to make up for his childhood.

Yes.
You are.

dhoward 07-07-2009 12:32 PM

I was talkin' about all of that moonwalkin'
That other stuff? Meh...

legion 07-07-2009 12:35 PM

And the crotch grabbing...

Don't forget the crotch grabbing.

Tragically ironic isn't it?

There's a life lesson in there.

I think we all deal with our situations on our own and in our own way.....you are totally unique and MJ was his own set of issues. Its how we deal with it that counts. It sounds like you have dealt with yours pretty well as the first step is recognizing the roots of the issues.

It would be nice if we all got a big fancy memorial celebration when we go though...

Nah, I'd rather have cash (preferably now). ;)

techweenie 07-07-2009 12:46 PM

I noticed some references on the Web that his 'child molestation' accusers finally fessed up that they were put up to it by their dad.

If that is really the case...... I mean... really so... wow. I mean if the man did what they sad he did then so be it... but if they really do come out and say he's pretty much innocent after all... wow. I mean that makes it all just a little bit more bearable (the media frenzy that is)

I saw in an interview with one of MJ's friends that he once said how he was made to be in the recording studio all day, every day, and never got a real break, never got to play with the other kids. "There was a playground across the street from the studio, and kids were always playing there...." It sounded very sad. It for sure messed the guy up. That's what having a **** father can do.

New Flash Michael Jackson was found NOT GUILTY (AKA innocent) on all 9 counts against him on June 13, 2005.

Why do people still consider him a pedophile or a sex offender?

PETER
I am like Michael Jackson

DR. SWANSON
What about today? Do you feel like you are like Michael Jackson?

PETER
Yeah.

DR. SWANSON
Oh, that's bad stuff.

PETER
I'm sorry.

DR. SWANSON
Ok.

PETER
But is there any way that you, you could just sock me out so there's no
way that I'll know I'm like Michael Jackson? Right here? (points to his head) Can I
just come home and think I've been fishing all day or something?

DR. SWANSON
That's really not what I do, Peter. However, the good news is, I think
I can help you. I want you to do something for me, Peter. (dims the
lights) I want you to try and relax. I want you to relax every muscle
in your body, from your toes to your fingertips. Now I want you to
relax your legs. You're going to begin to feel your eyelids getting
heavy as you slip deeper and deeper into a state of complete
relaxation. the air of concerns to you is disappearing. Deeper, way
down, your concerns about your job melts away. Way, way down. Now when
I count backwards from three, you'll be in a state of complete
relaxation. your worries, cares and ambitions will be gone. And you
will remain in that state until I snap my fingers. Three. Deeper and
deeper. Way down, way down. Two. Way down. One.

He faints out of the chair and everyone rushes to his aid.

Yeah, OJ Simpson was found NOT GUILTY too, how many people still feel he was guilty? At least he waited for a jury to decide his fate, and didn't resort to paying off the families!

How about a little consistency???

Randy

M.D. Holloway 07-07-2009 08:22 PM

Hay Ruf, would you let your kids sleep over at his place?

I wouldn't let my kids sleep over at his place but...I wouldn't let them sleep at yours either.

There's a pretty big difference between the cases...

OJ had blood in his car, house, clothes

MJ had an acquser that couldn't keep his story straight, had parents that were guilty of welfare fraud, and a history of extorsion.

I have accepted the NOT GUILTY verdict of O.J. It is obvious that you haven't. I can look beyond the color of a person skin.

sammyg2 07-08-2009 06:56 AM

Q. What would MJ be dfoing right now if he were alive?
A. Scratching at the inside of his coffin.

Sorry, had to.

We don't let our kids have any sleep over and we don't have any kids sleep over at our house. So to answer your question, no I would not let my kids sleep over at M.J. place, not because it is M.J. place, but because we don't allow sleepover period.

He also paid a family $25 million to drop charges and to refuse to testify against him, AFTER it was learned in depositions that the child described in detail MJ's genetalia including unusual marks that would only be known about by someone with close intimate contact or medical inspection. He was nailed so he bought his way out of it.

MJ admitted that he liked sleeping with young boys, he said it was "love, not sick".

OJ was guilty, so was MJ.
IMO only a fool or racist would say otherwise.
