I once went up to the Klamouth River area to watch some hippy-fest/protest thing.
Caught a ride with an ornery, 80 year old ex-iron worker who was high as a kite on pain meds from a back surgery a couple days before. He was excited about his new 454c.i. recently installed in his 80's van(headers leaked like a seive).
Needless to say, driving through the twisty 2-laners with five foot wide trees on either side was "interesting".

We got up there, and there was an entire town covered by a mud slide. Apparently, Maxxim had clear-cut the hills above the town.........
Saw a buried tricycle next to the peak of a roof.

Then there was the usual "right to peacefully assemble" stand-off with hippys on one side, and riot cops on the other.
They came to some agreement after a few hours, and just then the clouds cleared and a huge quadruple rainbow appeared over the trees. Amazing.

Earth First protests numerous other logging ops also, but not all - the youngest trees they've protested that I know of were 100 years old

Many of us are left to wonder what kinds of minds can be responsible for such heinous, cowardly acts against their fellow man. The video sheds a little bit of light on that. These people are in need of serious help, as is anyone who supports or defends their actions.

By their, you cannot mean Earth First - they specifically disallow this

the "Green Anarchy" groups - they always claim they aren't in groups, but whatever - are the ones doing this

Earth Liberation Front is one of them

FBI busted a big nest of them a year or two ago.
