Jeeez I made the thread go morbid. On a lighter note I have offically become a white haired gnome from email back-ups. The last person that dared to enter my office won't come back. Thats a good thing I think.

David, this thread had lost all control before you joined.

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 03:33 PM

In that case I'll just give it another push along then. Spring has sprung here might actually get the 911 out for a spin without getting it wet on Thursday or Friday.

slodave 05-17-2011 03:34 PM

You have a thing about getting cars wet on Thursdays and Fridays?

nynor 05-17-2011 03:35 PM

morbid. nah.

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 03:36 PM

I have a thing about rain on the car, and where do I live the rain capitol. The running joke is that I can make it rain by just poking the nose of the car out of the garage.

nynor 05-17-2011 03:41 PM

autocross was sunday. ingrid didn't get rained on, but i did put her away wet. ;)

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 03:46 PM

I'll take her (not named yet) out and give her a good spring thrashing. One of us will need a cold shower when done......

Lanna won't be heading out anytime soon, we are flooding here. Looks like Peggy is gonna earn her keep

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 03:56 PM

Flooding? I had nothing to do with it. The car has been inside for a month.

The tanks with heavy oils use floating lids so you can tell some are full and some are almost empty. It is really amazing that with all that equipment and pipes and tanks they know how to make the proper product flow out the correct pipe.

Yup. Like a spiderweb and every line-up can be different and they have to be perfect, one wrong valve and it can cost $10 million.

nynor 05-17-2011 05:00 PM

wow. sammy came to play! hey sammy! how are things?

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 06:48 PM

so what is the criteria for naming ones car? Come up with it on your own? Name it after some former girl friend (just don't tell the wife)?

nynor 05-17-2011 07:53 PM

well, jezebel was initially named anabella. then she left me stranded within a week of ownership. the harlot.

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 08:10 PM

well the 911 has not done that yet..............
the RDx could be Roxane cause the nave system does nothing but gripe when I drive.

RKDinOKC 05-17-2011 08:34 PM

Guess I'm not very creative my vehicles are referred to as the Porsche and the Rover.

Porsche-poor 05-17-2011 08:37 PM

RKDinOKC what picture editor do you use to get that toy car look? The one where the car stands out and the background is fuzzy?

Geronimo '74 05-17-2011 08:47 PM

Morning. It's too early for me.

slodave 05-17-2011 09:55 PM

Morning is usually too early for me as well. I tend to just go back to sleep.
