Damn, I just saw the second Louis Theroux documentary about the Phelps family and their baptist church.
Some nerve, protesting at funerals of fallen soldiers, chanting that their death is a wonderful thing... The most hated family of the United States... Weird that nobody hasn't offed them yet. |
it is pretty disgusting. for sure. breeding hate and loathing by hiding behind their 'rights'.

there are groups that show up where they protest just to block them from being seen and heard spoiling for a fight.
They were protesting in a small town in Oklahoma last summer. Somehow the tires on their van got slashed. Not one tire shop in town would help them. Every single tire shop was just busy with other things. They finally called AAA and had a tow truck from another city come tow the van to a Wal-Mart and Wal-mart replaced the tires. The Police have no idea the tires were slashed they think it was likely just defective tires.
In one city in Alabama a truck broke down right behind their van and blocked them in. The funeral was over before any mechanic or tow truck could get to the broken truck. It was a real shame they missed the funeral. In America we take freedom of speech very seriously. Those folks are the lowest form of life in on the planet, but thay have a right to voice their screwed up opinion. |
To protest the very people that insure their right to be pond scum just seems ironic.

I like the way the good folks of Oklahoma think!!!!!
the first time i saw media footage of their antics i felt ashamed. i just could not believe that my fellow americans could stoop to such and that they felt justified in doing so.
they think they have a right to protest. personallly I think it should be treated like a wedding you show up uninvited and I'm going to toss your butt out for crashing. Keep it up and have the cops called. but no in this case its freedom of speach.........I think everyone has a right to say what they want but one must use your brain and say it at the right time.

There are a lot of emotions at a funeral, and none of them are good, it is only a matter of time before someone simply snaps and "handles" these people
I for one would be looking the other way..............oh look over there at the pretty flowers.......
I would be unable to recall any of the events due to my bereavement.
who's on first?
Funeral what funeral? |
When I go there will be no funeral I want a big %$#$#@ party and they are going to play another one bites the dust over and over!!!!!!

Although playing that song over and over may sound like some of my expanded mind days
then it might be good for those left behind to party on!
I think I'd go with "Highway To Hell".
i'd like the discography of generation x played at my funeral, with some early billy idol stuff thrown in.
