Yea, just wait until she pouts that her friends can't learn about how wonderful you are, and how she can't share pictures with you. I can here it now, "But honey you need an Facebook account so my friends and relatives can learn all about you"

Geronimo '74 05-24-2011 11:24 AM

Well, if I do, you guys will be the first to know.
I've got all kinds of crazyness in me, a FB account is not even up there with the strangest... :D
(And if she pouts to get something done from me, I won't refuse, belee dat! :D)

(but I'm pretty sure she won't ask me. She's not that much of an avid FB person herself, from what I saw.)

Porsche-poor 05-24-2011 02:29 PM

porsche4life 05-24-2011 02:32 PM

It fired up right over us, and is moving east fast and getting big... Looks like NW OKC is about to get a hit... I hope glen and richard fare well....

Porsche-poor 05-24-2011 02:35 PM

fingers crossed! Man what year for crappy weather.

porsche4life 05-24-2011 02:37 PM

Been better than most this year in OK...

Porsche-poor 05-24-2011 02:39 PM

The news last night was saying that the US has had a record number of tornados this year and May is the peak. Wow! We have rain, volcanos and earth quakes. No warning system at all I think I like it that way.

I came home early. The roads are super busy. There is a BIG tornado on the ground about 10 or 12 miles due east of us. The tornado sirens just started up. Right now it looks like it will go north of us. There is a lot of lighting and a constant roar of thunder. I may go change out of my shorts and put on jeans.

porsche4life 05-24-2011 02:47 PM

Good idea Glen, hope you have somewhere to hide....

Porsche-poor 05-24-2011 02:50 PM

Keep your head down. And go hide as well.

porsche4life 05-24-2011 03:04 PM

Its running straight down waterloo road.... My aunt lives right on waterloo about 20mi from where the storm is at. Praying it dodges north....

Right now it is going north of us. We dodged that bullet. There are more storms forming south east of us. The great part of Oklahoma weather on TV is we know just right where the storms are. The tornado does not sneak up on us. They told us yesterday that we would likely have bad pookie weather right now.

I have two apps on my cell phone and a portable battery powered TV in case the power goes off. The city I live in has opened all the high schools as shelters for the scared folks.

I put both of my helmets in the guest bathroom on the east side of the house. The dogs leashes, Mrs Carrera's purse and important medications, several blankets, and several other items are ready. I have on jeans for the first time in weeks and my jacket is at the ready.

It looks like a few areas got hit. Nothing real close to us. I think I will go get my dinner ready now.

nynor 05-24-2011 03:27 PM

good lord. you guys are having a ROUGH spring.

This is really the first real storm we have had this year. East OK and Arkansas have been hammered.

It looks like the National weather center will be right in the middle of a storm real soon. They can do research right from their desk!

The radar that the tv stations have is state of the art bleeding edge equipment. They can see the debris fields and show where crap is falling out of the sky. It is cool to see block by block where the tornados are, and where they are going.

There are confirmed dead, just two so far.

The weather broadcast has been on non stop, no commercials no breaks. It is just constant. There are dozens of storm spotters talking to the tv station giving moment by moment updates. With the radar and ground spotters we know what is happening. All on 60 inch HD broadcast.

It starting to hail again.

porsche4life 05-24-2011 04:02 PM

News 4 has amazing chopper footage of the storm that is hitting the goldsby/noble area...
