Okay yesterday is one we want to put very far behind us. Started out cutting the grass, borrow my sons push mower, and it works great for about 3 mins, then the thing backfires and blows the bowl O ring out of the side.....................fix this, pull the cord and it comes off in my hands....................Okay back to the garage, remove the top cover and find the pull starter is riveted on.............grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. OKay screw this thing, I am not in a mood for it, so I hop on my tractor. Make a lap and the thing comes to a grinding halt like I hit something, wtf, I back up to see what I hit.............nothing, so forward we go, nope. Lost one of the pins that hold the front deck arm on. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Okay, grab another clip from the garage and go back to it. Make it 7 feet and the belt for the blade, smokes off. Wonderfriggingful. Hop in the car, drive 25 miles to get a belt and have to match it up. The belt I got is just a little too short, the blades will not disconnect, screw it I am cutting grass. After all that, the filter housing on my hot tub exploded. I went over and played with my grandson for a little and Beth and I went out to dinner. Bad day.

Rick, it sounds like you had fun filled day. ;)

We got up at dawn today. We went outside and finished the outside lights swap. All 8 lights are done. Yea.

I invited my dad to father's day steak dinner at my house. I also invited his girlfriend or maybe I should say lady friend (she is in her 80s) and another long time family friend couple. I will be grilling steaks for 6, and we will be making homemade ice-cream. The wife will be helping :) I will be the youngest person in the house. :D

I have to get started on getting the fancy eating room ready. We have not eaten in there for a while. I gotta extend the table and get the fancy dishes & forks and every thing. Then I will start making the ice cream. It is over 100 degrees here today. I cranked up the garage AC so I don't sweat a ton making the ice cream.

Then crank up the grill and start grilling steak & home made ice cream mmmmmmm steak. Burp.

I have a gardener and my lawn is 15 feet by 7.5... the lawn in the back is 32 by 9.
I don't like mowing grass at all.

I hit two car shows today with my daughter: Supercar Sunday, and one on Rodeo Drive where they close 4 blocks down to exhibit Italian stuff. I've seen pics of the Rodeo Drive one, but never remembered to go until the night afterwards. (It's held on Fathers' Day, duh.) It was nice to see vintage cars, as LA is filled with late model exotica. There was a pontoon-fendered 250 Testarossa, as well as a few 250 GT SWBs, 275 GTB/4s, Panteras, etc. Also saw the new McLaren supercar, as well as Ferrari's new FF. The McLaren is neat technologically and would get my money were I in the market for a low 6-figure supercar, even if it's perhaps a tad bland for supercar styling. The FF looks OK in person, if a bit large. It's not small like BMW's M coupe, but rather a full-sized car with a shooting brake back end. Too large.
