I've seen shots during NASCAR races of guys like Boris Said doing it. (Obviously at either the Glen or Sears Point.)

vas930 01-02-2012 07:02 PM

For heel and toe watch V8 Supercars in Australia.
Boring cars, but good heel and toe.

slodave 01-02-2012 07:14 PM

Alarick, I have the right to my feelings. We are not taught to drive with the left foot on the brake and right on the gas, in fact you are discouraged during DT. I don't like it. It really makes me feel uncomfortable.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 07:19 PM

I agree Dave. Two foot driving with an automatic is not a good idea.

nynor 01-02-2012 07:20 PM

my friend's grandfather drove with his left foot on the brake. i was only a passenger in his car twice, for good reason!

vas930 01-02-2012 07:22 PM

After six months of looking, I think I have found my new home.
Sick of house inspections.
Four car shed for the 930. :)

nynor 01-02-2012 07:23 PM

moving sucks.

Yep.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 07:29 PM

Is a car shed like a garage?

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 07:31 PM

Moving does suck. When we bought this house 15 years ago we pretty much agreed, this is our last move until we move to an assisted living home.

nynor 01-02-2012 07:37 PM

well, i am considering, yet again, a move to somewhere warm.... texas is at the top of the list. respiratory therapists are in high demand there. i may be able to relate to your house search in a very personal way, vas.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 07:45 PM

Wait you can't move until after July of 2012. I am coming to SLC for Porsche Parade and I want the bottle of home brew you said you would have ready!

nynor 01-02-2012 07:48 PM

LOL! i am sure i'll be here. you have yet to tell me what beer you want.

so many things would have to happen in synchronicity for us to move out of state that the likelihood of it happening is slim. very slim.

???

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 07:50 PM

I like any beer. Probably my recent favorite has been Blue Moon brewed in Savannah Ga.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 07:54 PM

Of course Sam Adams is a long time favorite as well.

nynor 01-02-2012 07:56 PM

blue moon is a wit style beer, sort of. what sam adams do you like?

nynor 01-02-2012 07:58 PM

wait... i thought blue moon was made in colorado by coors.... is there another one from savannah?

nynor 01-02-2012 08:00 PM

oh, i am going to go here:

Moon River Brewing Company - The Beer List

an oud bruin would be awesome!

To lazy to call it a garage. :)

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 08:11 PM

Any of the Sam Adams is ok. The week I was In Savannah the beer I drank was the local stuff. What is the best local beer available at the local stores in SLC? For every trip I always find a local brew to drink. Anchor Steam in San Fran, Yungling in Pa.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 08:13 PM

In Colorado I drank Flat Tire beer. They have many different brews, all tasty.

I go the opposite, and sort of roll between the two.... A shoe with a nice wide smooth sole helps. I really like the Piloti prototipos...

Occasionally sportsmans guide has them for $26....

The 944 isn't as easy as my corolla though... I heel toe the corolla always...

the best local beer available is mine. ;) actually, my friend, spencer, has better beer than i do. he is a master.

i think epic brewing has the best beer, locally, hands down.

perhaps i'll make two or three different beers, just for the occasion. i am thinking a pils, a witbier, and something really interesting, like a bier de mars or a belgian blonde ale with berries.

hmmm..... can you point me to a link or something?

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 08:26 PM

For heal & toe I have a wide foot which helps. I wear a Triple E shoe so I have the foot width to do it.

Its on TV tonight.
I will see what I can find.
May be a load of BS. :)

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 08:31 PM

I was asking about local beer available at the stores :)

Is SLC a place where I can buy beer at the gas station or is it a liquor store purchase. PA was stupid, you have to go to a beer store to buy beer and it is a case at a whack.

nynor 01-02-2012 08:35 PM

you can get beer at the gas station, but you are limited to 3.2 beer. liquor stores have a better selection. also, the breweries can sell any of their beers, regardless of percentage.

again, epic is the best, IMO.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 08:39 PM

Ok so epic is what I will try first (after some of yours :) ) can I buy epic at the liquor store?

nynor 01-02-2012 08:46 PM

yes. although i prefer to get it at the source.

GH85Carrera 01-02-2012 08:48 PM

Good night guys. Thine for bed. We are watching OK State struggle against Stanford. Hopefully OSU can win their first ever BCS bowl game.

porsche4life 01-02-2012 08:49 PM

I'm not watching it, but following the score online, looks like a hell of a game...

nynor 01-02-2012 09:01 PM

i am watching 'the inbetweeners movie'. it is embarrassing just to watch it.

porsche4life 01-02-2012 09:03 PM

Never heard of it...

Flieger 01-02-2012 09:07 PM

OK, so one of my appartment mates who before break had bought a bunch of computer stuff and rebuilt a machine in his room bought 2 servers and set them up in his room now. I was alerted to their presence by the loud whirr of cooling fans. One is 48 cores, the other is 32 cores. Solid state drives, too. And he has a 4 core laptop.

Says he is doing distributed computing for Stanford on a protein folding program, but really he says he just likes computer parts.

You should see the cooling fans (and a normal desk oscillating fan to boot).

He has not tried to sleep with the fans on yet, since he just got back today.

Dave, sounds like you have a potential protege.

nynor 01-02-2012 09:09 PM

i think you could relate, being college age and all. but i can't picture you being quite this pathetic!
