We have had enough storms to make it safe. Well as safe as it gets with me and my son and things that go BOOM.

I guess I am just too cheap to buy fireworks. I can't understand spending hundreds of dollars to blow up. I will just watch the pros do their jobs.

With the storms here right now I doubt we will be doing anything tonight

Gunfire and fireworks have been the norm for the last few nights. It'll culminate tonight and taper off in the next couple of nights.

Yup. Every 4th and New Years. :) We have a ban on selling ammo for the week before and a few days after each. It was really bad a number of years ago. The number of people that were injured or killed from the falling bullets was going up and up.

Gotta dust off the flak jackets and Kevlar helmets.

Actually.... Sort of! I hear Farsi everyday and also hear plenty of ME music, some is nice. I live in a neighborhood that is heavily populated by those from the ME and Russia, Armenians too. The gunfire can be heard from the North end of the Valley, kinda where you'd expect it..
