Dave seemed a bit bummed out this morning. I hope he is OK.

Good Tuesday morning guys.

I think my Dr. wanted some more cash flow so they ordered a round of blood tests. It has been over two years since the last one. The bad news is it is a fasting blood test. They call it fasting because it goes so slow. Anyway I have had nothing but water since dinner last night, and I still have an hour to go before the lab opens up so I can have them suck my blood.

livi 10-11-2011 05:40 AM

Morning, Glen!

Thats typical of doctors. They are such brutal beasts that enjoy inflicting pain and general unpleasantness in people.

GH85Carrera 10-11-2011 05:51 AM

I figure he wants to make a payment on his car. :D

I donate blood regularly and they do a pretty good check on most key points. Once back when I was working with formaldehyde my ALT became elevated. The blood institute called me because they love my blood. I had some secondary tests done and I learned to wear gloves when mixing the stabilizer for the film processing machines. Kodak changed the formula shortly after that anyway and the formaldehyde was replaced with something less deadly.

My cholesterol has never been above 200. That is just genetics. My dad got to the point where he had a bowl of ice cream every night before going to bed. His cholesterol got up to 140. He finally got over that ice cream craving.

The genetic lottery is a powerful determinant.

livi 10-11-2011 06:33 AM

Morning, David.

GH85Carrera 10-11-2011 07:44 AM

Morning David.

It was a quick stick in the arm and pee in a cup at the lab. In and out in 5 minutes.

livi 10-11-2011 07:46 AM

I canīt believe I will turn 46 in January.

Just saying.

What? No anal probe?? :D

GH85Carrera 10-11-2011 07:48 AM

It beats the alternative!

I will be 57 in a few months. It does not seem possible, except in the mornings after a day of mowing the yard and waxing the car.
