I am checking in to update the brotherhood of the Stijn.

My dad indeed had some sort of stroke last night. This morning when he got up he did his usual routine and when he went to wind his clock he noticed his hand was tingling and felt funny. Knowing that is a possible sign of a stroke he went to the mirror and smiled at himself and one side of his face was drooping. Not a good sign at all. He knew to call 911 and when they answered he discovered he could not talk.

All he could do was mumble a mmmuuua sound. They sent out police, fire & ambulance and the cop was the first to the door. The cop asked if he need the police and he just pointed to the ambulance. He handed a medic his cell phone with my number programed so that is when they called me.

I just went to the hospital and by that time he was talking slowly but slurring his speech. By noon he was talking slowly but doing much better.

They will keep him overnight.

Right now it looks like things are improving. :D :D :D

My stepmother went thru the same thing about two years ago and is doing great today. She thanks the good doctors and nurses for it everyday.
