Lets see signs on the inside of the door.
"your being watched"
"wash hands before leaving"
"paper sold in next unit"
"no paper to bad you firgure it out"

Put lights in them that come on when the door is open and go out when closed.

I was out having a bite and drink at one of the places on island last night. I caught myself trading glances with a very attractive cougar. I quickly stabbed myself with a fork, paid the bill and left...

once you've done a cougar, you are marked. JK! :)

There is 'something' about an attractive, well-dressed (not skeezy) woman in her 40s that drives me crazy!...

It was a QME (Qualified Medical Exam) set up by the guy's lawyer. If you file a workman's comp claim in CA, and either you (the injured party) or the insurance company think that care isn't being administered properly and want some sort of referee, you can request a QME. The state has a list of docs willing to do these evaluations. Then all the patient's medical records are sent to the selected QME doctor. The doctor reviews the medical records in advance (I spent 4 hours doing so over last weekend for this one) and then evaluates the patient. The report written serves as a "final word" on what care the patient gets.

That's the theory. This guy didn't show up. So his 45 minute time slot came and went. At least I can send a list of medical records reviewed and get paid $250/hr for that. Can't bill for the time allotted for the missed appointment, though. I imagine the attorneys involved will make the guy reschedule.

Quit drinking before attempting stunts in the appartment....

Noah930 11-03-2011 01:01 PM

Don't let someone else hold your beer while you "try this..."

Noah930 11-03-2011 01:02 PM

It's your thumb? By your avatar, I would have thought maybe it was a different body part that got injured by the ceiling fan.

Noah930 11-03-2011 01:04 PM

OK, seriously, depends on the fracture. Which bone? Where along the bone? And how's the displacement/angulation? Ya got any x-rays you can post up?

Generally, thumb fractures are a PITA to treat, because of the immobilization they require. You'll likely wind up in some sort of short arm (across the wrist and up to the forearm) splint or cast that involves the thumb. It's very inconvenient to be without your thumb for 6 weeks.

It sucked when my carpometacarpal snapped in half...

porsche4life 11-03-2011 01:27 PM

I don't think its actually broken. Just hurts like hell. Blade hit right between the nail and the first joint.

Suck thing about the low ceilings in my apartment. About once a month I get something in the fan, albeit it usually my whole hand or a shirt sleeve or something....

Porsche-poor 11-03-2011 01:28 PM

you need a taller room.

porsche4life 11-03-2011 01:29 PM

This place is close to campus and cheap... Can't find a taller one...
