And no one to blame but myself.....well, maybe whoever decided my tire looked like a practice dummy...

HHI944 11-28-2011 06:22 PM

Yeah, about 1 inch long, very narrow and clean puncture....I can only think of one person who would shy a random act of vandalism...

nynor 11-28-2011 06:24 PM

be sure to clean that out really really well.... blah blah blah..... i am sure you know the drill.

HHI944 11-28-2011 06:27 PM

Yeah, i scrubbed it pretty well and am letting it get plenty of air...
Tire shop guy thinks he can save the tire....thank god for old school tubes!

I got my fix it ticket singed off tonight. I saw a Sheriff's Deputy in a parking lot across the street from the bank, so I quickly pounded the bracket back into the valence and dug around the car for 2 screws to attach the plate... Couldn't find any loose ones... I knew that the visor screws were short enough, so I took my sun visor off and used those screws. :D They were a little narrow, but would just snug tight. Drove across the street and asked if he would sign off. At first he said, "well, you should just go to the court hose to get it signed off.. But, okay.." Yes! e also told me that if I had gone to a CHP station, they would have done a walk around, to check for any other illegal things. Yikes! Good to know.

That front plate looks hideous on my car....

sid, is there any way to get avi files onto the iphone and have them work?

slodave 11-28-2011 08:02 PM

You have to convert the avi files to another format.

nynor 11-28-2011 08:09 PM

right. i did a search. it seems it has to be in mp4 format or h.264 (whatever that is). i found a free converter. we'll see.

Apparently delta doesn't have a weight limit on flight attendants

nynor 11-28-2011 08:54 PM

you should have told me you were coming to town.

as for the free MP4 software, not only did it work, it was FAST and FREE and SIMPLE:

nynor 11-28-2011 09:25 PM

so here is an interesting question:

this iphone i have been playing with knows where it is. it has no sim card in it. the only communication is through the wireless router. how in the hell can it know what street, SPECIFICALLY, it is on and its approximate address?

i cannot find a GPS app.

Porsche-poor 11-28-2011 09:29 PM

It has location services in the maps. Google knows the location of every wireless network...

Oh, and I can safely sum up the last two hours by saying, god bless the man that invented FaceTime. That was fun....

nynor 11-28-2011 09:30 PM
