Anyone want to buy a Mercedes wagon....its in great condition, I swear, certainly no reason to think it has serious underlying mechanical issues that render it a ticking bomb.......

porsche4life 02-08-2012 06:40 PM

Sorry Joe... But my next car will likely be a 99something or a 98something... Or maybe an ///Msomething....

HHI944 02-08-2012 06:44 PM

Im pretty sure my next is gonna be an xk convertible.... I like jags..... im stupid....

porsche4life 02-08-2012 06:48 PM

Just a matter of following the directions in the text book... You could train a monkey to do it...

Might could even train Dave to do it.... :P

nynor 02-08-2012 07:05 PM

i have yet to read a computer related textbook. i don't plan on starting!

HHI944 02-08-2012 07:06 PM

HHI944 02-08-2012 07:07 PM

Don't say I didn't warn you...

BTW, will this fit your MB wagon? The wagon cover, not the headrests.

don't shoot him tie him to the car and take a drive.

HHI944 02-08-2012 07:28 PM

No, I think that cover is from the next generation wagon past mine. Doesn't matter anyway, my Mercedes was in superb condition with all the features before this :(

Im 99% sure I'm going back to a jag, not quite sold on an xk, an xj is a little more practical..

Noah930 02-08-2012 08:40 PM

You're single. Even the XK can be practical at your stage in life.

My only concern is storage space. I find myself needing a fair amount of storage space pretty regularly. The XK's do have a fairly substantial trunk though and I think that, while not ideal, it would prove sufficient. A clean XJR is still in the running. While I really like the idea of a 'vert, I have a fondness for fast sedans.

HHI944 02-08-2012 08:50 PM

OK, I really need to make nice at the ford dealer......I wanna get a test ride in the new 650hp 'stang.....550 was ridiculous, 650 has to be insane.

Jags are a shocking car.
I cant think of one good thing about a jag.
If you have that kind of money, please dont buy a jag.
Not sure you can own a jag and be on this thread. ;)

Porsche-poor 02-08-2012 08:56 PM

off tomorrow and back to sanding. Lets hope the hands don't give out.

HHI944 02-08-2012 08:56 PM

I can think of a lot of good things about a Jag. The styling in certain generations is great, the interiors are exceptional, the ride is like floating on a cloud......
They can have some issues, but people exaggerate.
A boxster or 996 just isn't gonna cut it for storage space for me right now.
