If you get married, you wont need to hire a car. :D

HHI944 02-17-2012 05:00 PM

On board cpu shows 31mpg average and it has 300hp. Not stupid fast, but enough to get the job done.

porsche4life 02-17-2012 05:07 PM

Those on board computers always read high....

HHI944 02-17-2012 05:19 PM

Epa says it should get 28hwy and in my experience that number is always low. Epa ob the wagon was 24hwy and I got 27-28.
Im freaking excited. They're throwing in coffee mugs that match the trim, a valet attachment that hooks onto the headrest and a land rover button up shirt and a jaguar button up shirt.
Its the little stuff that makes me happy.

HHI944 02-17-2012 05:20 PM

And all of the software is being updated, including the gps maps.

porsche4life 02-17-2012 05:25 PM

You know they fcked you right?

Porsche-poor 02-17-2012 05:48 PM

you guys are being mean. Next you will send him a jar of smoke for when it gets out.....

HHI944 02-17-2012 05:55 PM

Please do, they charge like $90 a bottle for smoke at the dealer!
Seriously though, post Lucas and post plastic timing chain tensioner, the xj became a fairly reliable car and the ride and interior quality are jus insane.

vas930 02-17-2012 06:23 PM

Good luck with it ,Joe.
I hope it all works out well. :)

nynor 02-17-2012 06:49 PM

Having drama getting pics off cam to computer.
Loving this new computer.
However, with my comp skills it takes so long to work stuff out.
Will post pics and details ASAP. :)

slodave 02-17-2012 07:01 PM

Could be, Vas!

vas930 02-17-2012 07:07 PM

Cool, Dave.
Thanks for the update.

porsche4life 02-17-2012 07:09 PM

Vas, my tech support services are available for the cost of plane tickets. ;)

Thanks Vas!
I've always had a soft spot for Jags.....
This one is very clean, one owner, always maintained at the dealer. This dealer is actually pretty picky about what they keep on the lot (they've got a separate lot that doesn't share the name for stuff that doesn't check out)

They had XKR-S #100 in the showroom....that's #100 of 100
Freaking gorgeous car!

I think I may get a quote off Dave. ;);)

vas930 02-17-2012 07:34 PM

OK.
After some thinking, the 4speed is going in for a rebuild on the 5th march.
While we have it out, 2nd 3rd and 4th will get some short ratio gears.
I have the money to do the 5speed conversion.
However, I dont think spending 15k on this old hot rod is a wise idea.
Should be good.

porsche4life 02-17-2012 07:35 PM

Sounds like a good choice vas. Hope it works out for you.
