Rick, thanks for the dishbox tip.

And the epoxy will work fine on the turtle. In about three weeks it'll peel off and new/repaired shell will be okay. Had to do this once on the kids pet snake neck turtle after the dog decided it was getting away. Dog thought it was a good idea to carry it around for a while, and put a couple of holes in its top an underside. Turtle convalesced in our bath tub for three weeks.

That is actually one reason I get up early, I can enjoy my coffee and simply ease into my day. I hate to hit the ground running

Welp. even on Sunday you folks are a chatty bunch.

She kept wanting more. That photo was about the fifth time she'd had a go at it.

About ten years ago I rescued a box turtle that was trying to cross a busy 4 lane road. His chances we very low without my rescue. I just happened to have a 5 gallon bucket with me so it was the perfect place to put him as I drove to work. A friend of mine is married to a lady that loves to raise turtles in her back yard. I gave her the turtle and forgot about it. Two days later another turtle in a different area of town needed a rescue. It ended up at the same lady's house. A few days later she called and was all excited. Those two turtles were humping all the time. I had rescued two turtles and brought them to turtle heaven. Unlimited food, a perfect turtle house, no predators, and no other turtles to compete with. The female laid a bunch of eggs and all the babies survived. She has had to drop off baby turtles in the woods all around her house.

He is rarely there. He has the travel bug as well. Spends a lot of time in Paris, California, Spain, Italy. He just got back from Barcelona yesterday. Just talked to him this morning. Trying to convince me to visit him. ;)

That has got to be the cutest turtle love story I have ever heard. You were brought into those turtles' lives for a reason. :)
