That is kinda where I was going with that. Check the inner fender wells for rubber build up and check the mechanic for a wall to wall grin

Hi all

Key turning ceremony today. All I've got left to do is connect the filler to the tank and prime both the oil and fuel systems. Whoohoo!

I hope she starts after so long down.

I had a few honey doos to take care of today. I finally got to play in the garage. I am starting on the 911 stuff. Today I got the car in the air wheels off. My first project is to pull the oil cooler and replace the two little short hoses. Both are seeping oil. The gasket that fits the cooler to fender is mostly rotted out so it gets replaced as well. The first challenge is to get those hoses loose. They are stuck tight. I hosed them down with penetrating oil. Hopefully tomorrow they will come loose.

Whatever project I do to the 911 I have to have it one the ground ready to go for next weekend. We have a car show at Hooters and the a autocross on Sunday.

Jeff, pat her on the dash and tell her it is time to wake up, then hit the key. Yes I talk to my vehicles.

I have to admit when I did the heart transplant on my El Camino, I said "come on baby wake up" when I hit the key. It must have helped, since it fired right up. :)

Hell I always say "Hi" to what ever vehicle I am getting into and thank them when I get back home.
