Everything else was good though. Starter motor chugged along happily, got a strong tach bounce, and oil pressure came right up. All looks promising. I should have a new pump out of Sydney by the end of the week (if I order it in the morn).

Is the fuel pump repairable, and if so, are repair parts (e.g., brushes) widely available?

Happy Mother's Day. SmileWavy

Good afternoon. Slow day on the thread.

Porsche-poor 05-13-2012 11:08 AM

I just got around to it from mom day chores.

porsche4life 05-13-2012 11:09 AM

Got the valve covers gasket done, and returned the carb and am ready to do the oil pan gasket on the Landy as well as changing the air filter oil and oil/filter. I am if this last round of carb tonight doesn't produce the desired results, and I'm just buying a new damn carb

Jim Richards 05-13-2012 01:21 PM

We went for a spin in the 964 thru Shenandoah Nat. Forest. The odo just passed 36k. Clearly I need to drive this car more. :)

RKDinOKC 05-13-2012 01:54 PM

Morning all

Apparently they can be rebuilt by the pros, as I've seen 'rebuilt' ones for sale. Parts do not appear to be easily found. To me it looks like a sealed unit - like one of those jobs I'd rather pay someone else to do ;)

Jim Richards 05-13-2012 02:03 PM

That sucks.
