Back from the wild and crazy 40th anniversary party. The trampoline girls in bikinis and the open bar was somewhere else ;) It was a nice visits with good food. Nice and quiet.

On the way home we stopped at a koi place. They sell water plants and fish. It is a 20 acre farm just one mile from my house.

Wow what a messed up day. No good deed ever goes unpunished. Well the daughter was not thrilled with her Smith &Wesson Sigma (she should have known better than to buy it since I don't like the one I have) and she wants to trade it in on a Ruger SR40. Well she asks me to look at it before she buys just to see if there are any issues or features she overlooked. Beth and I are already in town so sure we will swing by and give it the once over. Well I give the gun my blessings and she decides to buy it. Well She does the paperwork and Oooooops, the two forms of ID she hands over have different addresses. The state still has her registered at my house, no sale. I tell the guy behind the counter, thats okay I'll buy the gun. He says no because it would be a straw sale and he knows I will simply hand the gun over to my daughter. Yeah he knows me, I have bought a few guns from this guy. Oh well lets go over to the gun store where I get my AR goodies and see if they have one. Yup, and $20 less, score. Fill out my paperwork send it in to the state police and wait, for seven frigging hours to get the approval, WTF I am a representative of the state police as an inspector and am already cleared.
My entire day was shot in the ass waiting for some dust sniffing yahoo to simply run me and say yup.
Well at least my daughter has a better gun to protect herself with.

at least you live in a state where having a cwp means something. to makes the masses happy years ago they passed a 5 day wait for everyone....

used to be that if you had a perrmit you could walk in and buy one and walk out. now you have to wait 5 days. makes no sense. but the masses are happy.
