truce

Rick V 01-10-2010 02:29 AM

There shall be no truce

svandamme 01-10-2010 02:35 AM

tell that to Boris and Bubba...
I think Boris finally figured out his place in this house hold, and now gives Bubba the right of way....
Bubba on the other hand, is asserting his power, by napping around in all the favorite places where Boris usually takes his naps..
There has been no fighting for a good 24 hours, i call that a truce

BTW Stijn, the only way to fix the laptop problem, is to format. The owner will live with the issue. It's not a big deal, he just can't map the laptop drive from any other computer in the network, nor can he share an attached printer. In the scheme of his home network, it's not a problem.

that's what the combination of Windows with L-users will do
folks that click on anything without even giving it one itty bitty bit of thought what they are clicking on...

He's actually quite in tune with things and smart. He had already been to the forums I found with my Google searches. I have no idea when Limewire was installed/uninstalled is regards to this issue.

Anyway, it's an odd problem. Others have run into this, but they all had a Citrix VPN client installed.

damn, Boris will need to be patched up... looks like the cut on his jaw he got 2 days a go is worse then it looked at first... it's not drying up...and bleeding a bit, probably from scratching it with his rear paw.

Got some chloramine tablet's, dissolving in water now...
Boris will not be happy , but i gotta make sure it's not infecting.

I think i might have to get him looked at by a vet, just to make sure

slodave 01-10-2010 03:18 AM

Looks like a few stitches are in order....

i always milk the wound and then give em some tetracycline, which i buy at the local farm store. i have to weigh it out and then mix it with tuna, otherwise it is impossible to get my cats to eat it.

edit: looks like he may have gotten a bit of an abscess or something. (i have sutures, as well.) as long as it doesn't get infected, he'll live.

svandamme 01-10-2010 03:21 AM

that gash is just to big, and it's in a bad spot...
he scratches it, so i think he'll need a shave and some stiches...

He's obviously bothered by it, he still eats, but i can't get him to play..
(wanted to dangle something to get those pictures, but he wasn't interested)

I'll wait till 13h00 (lunch time now), then give the vet a ring to see if i can drop by for a quick check...

That must ave been some serious fight... no wonder he gives Bubba right of way now...

slodave 01-10-2010 03:24 AM

Shave that pussy!

nynor 01-10-2010 03:26 AM

good god. i just drank a sam adams imperial series double bock. delicious, strong, and buzzing.

Rick V 01-10-2010 03:26 AM

Morning D
Stijn, that looks like you are gonna have a fun time

svandamme 01-10-2010 03:39 AM

Only way vet can work on that, is by putting Boris under.
He can't be held down, he wiggles to much...
It couldn't even look at that wound without using a camera...

Picture says more then a thousand words.

I hope he heals quickly. :)

svandamme 01-10-2010 03:45 AM

I'm sure it will, just have to make sure it's looked after, and he doesn't end up with an infection.
Boris is a tough cookie...

He's been relentless at bugging Bubba since i got him, Bubba mostly acted annoyed, and never really did anything about it...
I think with the cold weather, being in side a lot, Bubba at some point had enough and opened up a can of whoop-ass to settle things.

Hopefully, Boris will have learned his lesson now..

svandamme 01-10-2010 04:17 AM

it looked worse then it was.

According to the vet, the one on his neck was probably some sore/boil that had popped from scratching, and it was at least a week old..
The one on his head was a deep puncture wound, about 5 mm round...

both had some puss.
he cleaned it up, gave him some long working antibiotics...while i had to use my full weight to hold him down... Man kitties are strong...

nynor 01-10-2010 04:22 AM

told ya so.
