I won a small battle. I had reserved a room at a hotel in Boulder CO. After I talked to my cousin that lives there he said it was not a great motel. I called the hotel back and canceled my reservation. They said no problem. After the vacation I check my CC statement on-line and saw a $94 room charge on my statement for that motel. I called them and the guy actually said they have policy that they need a one friking month to cancel a reservation. I explained I had a policy to not accept BS policies from any company. He said he would talk to the owner and see what he could do. I saw the refund on my statement today.
I wonder how many folks would have just accepted that the policy is etched in stone. Not this dude. |

Redhead is pretty.
Finally watched the video of that gal... very cute but don't get why her little dance was considered "sexy" or alluring. Men, pigs. ;) Ever since I have been reading the posts in this forum/thread, I am realizing a lot, A LOT, of innocent things I do daily might be considered "sexy" or a "turn on" for men. I know you think I am kidding, Rick, when I say, "??????" but really, some of the things you guys say, enlightening. Not that I find these things to be offensive. Just solidifies the belief that men have one thing on their mind. The sooner women realize this and accept this, it will be a more peaceful world. I saw this on a FB wall and it wraps it up in one sentence,"If all men smoked a joint and masturbated before going out, nobody would get punched in the head, stabbed or shot." Nipple glide. Kinda like duct tape and WD40: can pretty much fix anything. ;) |
Marry me!!!!
This phone is awesome. |

Tweze, you figured it out.
Men are pigs. We can't help it, it is in our genitic makeup. We act nice in social situations because there is always a chance some cute chick will think we are normal and like us. It is just a ruse. |
Do any of you computer hardware geeks have some old 1.5 volt AGP video cards laying around un-used? The video card on my home computer is dying. The rest of the computer is stable and runs OK. It is a little slow but not too bad. I don't want to spend a ton of money on a new video card. I was loooking to pick up a cheap used card that works OK.
I likely will replace the entire computer fairly soon. It amazing how expensive a vacation is. I drove 3,519 miles and used $544.70 worth of gas and that is averaging 24.7 MPG. The hotel bills were a lot more than that. |
:( Once again, it is pi$$ing rain here on the 'wet-coast'. I do wish I had something of more substance to offer for this intriguing thread.
'Til then, Cheers JB |

Hey Pete, on my recent trip across several states I saw several trucks multiple times when I would pass them, and then we stop to pee and I pass them, and we stop to pee, and we pass them again. There is no way those truckers did not have to pee on occasion. I presume they all have a pee bucket in the cab? |

I can go about 3.5, maybe 4 hours between pee breaks if I have made sure to let myself dehydrate before starting the drive.
