We did break the temp record. 106 degrees. In fact we broke the record for the low, it was hotter this morning than ever before. 81 degrees for the low!

Two records in one day!

porsche4life 07-31-2012 04:38 PM

Not sure what the humidity was here today, but it was 104 when I got off work at 5.... I was afraid to look earlier in the day...

Rick V 07-31-2012 04:42 PM

It's thick Sid

Most of our jobs are repeat customers that spend more than my annual salary each. They pay with checks, eventually. One of our many favorite customers is a local Ice Cream and Dairy store that you know. No matter how big or small the job they send a check within 10 days of receiving the invoice. When they ask "can we have" we just say YES! The answer is always YES!

They never quibble about price, but they expect top notch quality. We have nice job to fly for them right now. We love them. We will never stick them with a CC fee.

CC payments are only about 2% of our business.

Did you mean Sid is Thick? ;)

Flieger 07-31-2012 04:49 PM

That's not nice. You wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.

Do check. The place I by oil from (distributor), has a nice sign above the trans machine: "3% charge for CC". They like cash or checks.

A friend of mine that ran a small business for 10 years said that in all the years he was open he never had a cash customer. It was amazing, all those years and only checks and CC. ;)

They = Ian. It's billed as a solo album.

Rick V 07-31-2012 04:56 PM

I'll bet I have some Tull vinyl that most folks have never even heard of. It is titled "A"

slodave 07-31-2012 04:57 PM

You mean their 13th studio album?

Music is so much more then just notes and words. For me it is a conduit to somewhere. Echoes, a set of headphones and a dark room with my eyes closed. It is hard to tell where I am going to wind up in my mind.
The Final Cut is another one, and in some small way The Pro's and con's of hitch hiking.

yep, echoes. that is what i listen to almost every time i take jezebel out for some abuse.

it is time to cut my hair. i have an interview for a job i actually want. i am debating going full monte with proper business haircut, or just getting a damn good trim of about 5" taken off (my hair is pretty long at the moment). frankly, if they want me for this job, i'll cut my hair any way they want, short of pornographic.

I miss my long hair

oh, i did the timing belt on my wife's subaru, today. only one major fkup. and it wasn't my fkup. what a piece of cake. i'd rather do the that job twice than do the timing belt on the 951. unfortunately, per miles it is more like do the 951 timing belt THREE times per the subaru ONCE.

Rick V 07-31-2012 05:39 PM

Subies aren't hard to work on, just a lot of plastic and a screwed up airbox
