Yea, the work is secondary. I will have my laptop at the hospital. Mostly for my own amusement.

Now, that'd be funny. The piece of bone that was taken out of my ankle sits in a jar on my desk at work. I wonder if they have them jars big enough for a hip? I think you'd win in the 'mine's bigger than yours' stakes. :-)

OK, I am an idiot.

I got an email in my Rebel Racing account that looked legitimate, and after talking with Clint he apparently sold something to this company. It was something like GarageTechnik and was based in Germany. I went to visit their site from the link in the email and the site loaded slowly. I thought maybe it was just the German server?

Anyway, I went back to Pelican about 30 seconds after replying and then this message pops up from this program that had icons like those used in Vista for security stuff. It was a rogue antivirus program.

It shut down all my programs and I thought I had no internet but IE would work (Firefox would not). I googled the problem and got some instructions about F8 boot into safe mode with network access. I then downloaded (and paid for) PC Tools Spyware Doctor since AVG would not download in Safe Mode and I could not download/run stuff in normal mode. It appears to be vanquished now, but the computer is running slower because of the antivirus program.

Are they gonna call you hippie from now on? :D

Those antivirus program's are the nastiest viruses ever created (besides windoz)

Flieger 08-13-2012 05:30 PM

OK, but if the scale was work + skill?

slodave 08-13-2012 05:32 PM

Speaking of getting old. I somehow manage to wake up with a pinched nerve from time to time. This morning was one of those. What do I dream of? It's not like this happens while blading or skiing.
