Yes, I am home.

Sure glad there are places that deliver food!

Found brother was not doing anything to take care of Mom, but make sure she had one good meal a day, and then took all her ensure because he saw her giving the dog some. When I got home she hadn't been taking here perscriptions and her blood pressure was up to 188/110 and she was having left arm and chest pains and told me she thinks she had a stroke.

Couple of days back on her meds and she is doing much better.

Richard, remember Jason's deli, Marcos pizza, Jimmy Johns all deliver. That may be all that keeps me alive when I get home from the hospital. Mrs Carrera said she would be ok because she can still drive to get food ;)

LOL! but can you get to the door to get the food? (sorry, not funny. i really hope things go well for you.)

d.

GH85Carrera 08-12-2012 08:17 PM

Yea, I have a walker and a cane. I should be able to get to the door! The tough part will be to make a beer run! ;)

nynor 08-12-2012 08:29 PM

order some now to be delivered. :)

GH85Carrera 08-12-2012 08:32 PM

I feel sure the liquor laws in this state make beer delivery illegal. :(

Richard, I was going to ask about your mother while you were in the hospital but I didn't want to stress you more. I was afraid of what you described. You take such good care of your mother that I know it's hard when you are healing. But remember the oxygen rule. I tell all my friends this who have kids but in your case, it applies just as well. Put the oxygen on your self first so that you are well enough to help your children put on theirs. Doesn't help them if their parent is passed out from oxygen depravation. My point is, take care of yourself first, so that you can in turn take care of your mother. Goodness, it doesn't sound like your brother can do it as well as you.

And as for you, Glen, good for you! I love your sense of humor. I find that patients who have a good sense of humor and positive outlook do better. And will the rest of you stay healthy? Goodness, I can quit my job and travel all over the country being the Stijn thread personal nurse if you guys keep these shenanigans up! ;)

Porsche-poor 08-12-2012 08:41 PM

Getting to play roadie. My back is killing me.

RKDinOKC 08-12-2012 10:48 PM

Oh yeah, thanks Glen. The burger and shake run was a life saver.

Rick V 08-13-2012 02:00 AM

How did monday get here so quick? (shup Jeff)

slodave 08-13-2012 02:02 AM

You been looking at the clock in my Toyota? After many years and a battery change of the clock running slow, after the latest battery change it's running fast.

Rick V 08-13-2012 02:29 AM
