If memory serves you are already a member there.
I stopped going there when my services were being abused, but I still have a lot of friends on that board.
Beware of TrackRat aka TR, he is a lot of fun

Jim Richards 10-19-2012 07:45 AM

He's a character. No, that's too much of an understatement. :D

azzarule 10-19-2012 07:47 AM

must have used it long ago from the other side of the world, tried to login using my usual name and password that I use all the time and it didn't work so, will have to rejoin, don't remember like I said its going

azzarule 10-19-2012 07:52 AM

Jims back

azzarule 10-19-2012 07:53 AM

time for an expresso coffee, so happy I have now got some coffee from Oz, I just couldn't find a nice brand of coffee beans here for my expresso machine, just couldn't get used to the burnt flavour of american beans, so my biggest baby sent me some from Oz, they are sooo good

I really don't think there are words to describe TR. A nicer guy you would be hard pressed to find but he is a unique one

Jim Richards 10-19-2012 07:57 AM

When he worked a couple of blocks from my office, he, Rick Lee, and I would meet up for lunch. Always a laugh.

Azzy, since you were considering a cab, are you also open to getting a Boxster? You should be able to find a reasonable one that's local. Just a thought...

azzarule 10-19-2012 08:01 AM

naa, don't like the newer cars, wouldn't be able to take a Boxster home without going through the LHD to RHD conversion anyway, but a 30+ year old car I can leave it LHD, and don't have a problem driving a LHD in Oz drove a RHD throughout Europe which is LHD land

1980 Porsche 911 Targa

azzarule 10-19-2012 08:10 AM

naa, don't like targas, after changing out the front and rear windows of the 911 and Miss Daisy, I was looking through the Targa posts for changing out the seals on a Targa, aaahhhh!! Nope not going there. rather have a full cabriolet, fussy eh

Jim Richards 10-19-2012 08:11 AM

No worries. Best of luck on your hunt for a good one, Azzy. SmileWavy

azzarule 10-19-2012 08:12 AM

just thought that a cab would compliment the two we already have, and give us the choice of the top down on a lovely sunny day in Canberra. When we get home. we tend to keep cars forever, not just for a few years, I'm talking decades, so the three Porsches will see me through I think.

I have told my kids that they shouldn't look forward to getting Miss Daisy, cause I am being buried in her lol

Rick V 10-19-2012 08:12 AM

Too bad I was going to see if you would be interested in talking turkey about my targa

Jim Richards 10-19-2012 08:14 AM

Talkin' turkey about Tony the Targa? Try sayin' that 3 times fast. Yikes!

Rick V 10-19-2012 08:15 AM

ummmmmmmmm
no.
Jim you might remember the car, it belonged to Harold in Richmond, it was the silver one

Jim Richards 10-19-2012 08:18 AM

I'm drawing a blank, Rick.

Outback Porsche 10-19-2012 08:20 AM

Morning. Back from the Dr Ellephant gig. Just a cover band but a bloody good one.

Rick V 10-19-2012 08:21 AM

Not surprised, it was a few years ago. Anyway the 915 was addresses and the engine freshened up and sold to a guy named Bill, here in town who refreshed the suspension and sold it to dad, and I redid the interior. Needs paint and a little body work but a very sold car.
