that was the last time i peruse the stijn thread with my wife reading over my shoulder.

that last 'tits' comment was funny as hell, especially with my wife right here!

as for driving from utah to maryland, if you are going to do that, i'd get it done quick, before the snow starts flying and things get hairy. i've done that trip several times. three days was the longest it took me.

HOLY CRAP! that car is being sold by the brother of a friend! that showroom is about 1.5 miles from my house.

The EBAY photos look like a nice clean car. You for sure need a PPI to make sure the engine is in good shape. That looks like a good driver for the trip.

Even better, the previous owner can be asked about the car's history and you get a honest answer. Azzy, you NEED that car. Everyone should own a Grand Prix white 1985 911. I got mine, you need yours. :D

nynor 10-18-2012 08:59 AM

crap. do i apply for a job with Masimo, supporting/selling pulse oximeters? it might be interesting to interview with them. we use their equipment where i work.... i have all the qualifications they are looking for....

i don't know that she would be able to ask the previous owner, as the car is owned by a used car showroom. that said, i'd be happy to take a look at it, in person, and take specific photos. i've been meaning to check out the place, anyway.

It never hurts to apply and keep your options open. Are you a salesman at all?

Support is easy if you know the product.

nynor 10-18-2012 09:08 AM

its not really sales, i think. more like a rep for the product. i know the product pretty well, i set them up all the time. i don't think my wife would go for the travel aspect. my dad did that my entire teenage years until i left the house. it sucked. then again, i'm not my dad. i'll run it by the missus.

i think that the interview would be fun, which is almost enough to get me to apply.

Good deal D. and I am glas to hear the Little Lady was "impressed" with our shenanigans. Beth just rolls her eyes

nynor 10-18-2012 09:10 AM

on another note, i am going to be taking my cat to the vet. her ear is completely filled with pus and blood, a huge hematoma, pretty much involving the entire ear. i've tried my voodoo, to no avail. so, its off to the professionals. it would be pretty damn selfish to let this problem continue or allow her to die, so time to spend some $$$ that i don't really have.

azzarule 10-18-2012 09:12 AM

Yes Please

Nynor, could I impose on you to go take a look and maybe a test drive to see how it is in the flesh so to speak, I have put in a serious offer and would really like to know if it is sound. Don't mind a few chips and superficial age stuff, but if the engine is not running too well, I don't have a hope of fixing it, I'm a cosmetics fixer not a mechanical fixer of engines anyway, me I weld, grind, polish, re-carpet, reupholster, do dashs, instruments blah blah, but engines are just not my bag, and my mechanic is back in Oz so no help there.

azzarule 10-18-2012 09:14 AM

My ebay handle is MissDaisy356. No pictures needed I know she has a few imperfections, but nothing significant I hope, if you see any major problem then a photo would be great. But I just want to know brakes, engine, suspension, heat, floors, exhaust major stuff . Any significant mods from stock, as i want to take it home to Oz and if it has any major engineering mods from stock it will be harder to get registered, even though I can leave it LHD as it will be over 30 years old when I take it home, late 2015.

Wedding anniversary next month, the big 30 so wedding anniversary present for ourselves, would be a hubby pleaser don't you think!:eek::eek:

nynor 10-18-2012 09:20 AM

you said hubby pleaser.... LOL!!!

nynor 10-18-2012 09:20 AM

okay, into the shower and off to look at a porsche.
