Thanks, Dave. I tried the easy peasy route first. And it worked. Turns out one of the wires to the driver's door pass window switch had become disconnected inside the door. Naturally that happened to be the last of the 10 wires I checked. But plugging it back onto the window switch fixed the problem.

Apparently Renault has mandated that all motors run the new-spec alternator. Red Bull had been running the old-spec alternators.

But with Red Bull and Alonso qualifying where they have, I think Fred's chances of winning the championship are really, really small. Not throw in the towel small, but small enough I wouldn't print up championship t-shirts quite yet.
