Morning/Evening Y'all

Evening all,

watching the taped F1. had a lovely couple of days in DC, it was bluddy freezing, and today when we were walking around we had some of that white flaky stuff falling on us, not much but it was so cold.

Came home, put the gas fire on and have vegetated in front of it ever since. It feels like its about 11pm. All that walking around DC freezing to death made me all tired out.

Beth and I and my son decided he ain't getting the car back. Beth has claimed it

Don't you just hate that!! I have always found it very hard to defile one of my cars with some aftermarket stuff in the interior, I just can't make myself do it. The son wants me to take the radio out of the Durango and throw in some aftermarket crap, and I just can't do it, even though there is no ipod jack I just can't make myself do it. i have to get behind the dash and see if there is an aux jack in the back there somewhere, will also being doing the same for Marilyn, as it has its original Blaupunkt radio it should have a jack for an Aux input.

3M Indoor Window Insulator Kit (2141W6) - Window Shrink Film Kits - Ace Hardware

I don't care how many insulated layers of glass you have glass is cold and this stuff stops the transfer of that cold to the inside of the house.

slodave 11-26-2012 01:35 AM

Hmm. I may have to check that out.

Rick V 11-26-2012 01:38 AM

Morning Dave.
You expecting some cold?

slodave 11-26-2012 01:41 AM

I have crappy single pane windows. If it can insulate, great.

Rick V 11-26-2012 01:43 AM

Oh you will love this crap, once you have finished cussing at it. It actually makes the house quieter, it strange, but very functional.

slodave 11-26-2012 02:07 AM

Way too funny!

Have to get a Christmas Tree today, have all of the decorations but no tree!!

Morning all

GH85Carrera 11-26-2012 05:50 AM

Morning all. D, it "only" took me 3.5 hours in the yard.

We have Bermuda grass in the front yard and a some in the back yard. For those of you unfamiliar with Bermuda grass it is amazing. It LOVES the heat of summer. Triple digit heat and full sunshine is what it loves the most. If you don't water it, it will just go dormant in a drought. It goes dormant in the winter. The best way to grow it is to put up a flower bed and try to keep it out. It puts out runners and it seeds if you don't water and fertilize the heck out of it.

I have enough shade in the back yard that it does not do well so I have a lot of fescue back there. It is a shade grass and it grows all dang winter. It never does freeze out and just grows under the ice and snow.

I will have to mow the fescue again in a couple of months. It sure is a pretty green and certainly beats the heck out of mud.

GH85Carrera 11-26-2012 05:52 AM

My wife kntted a tree that is about 16 inches tall many years ago. We put that next to the fireplace and call it good for Christmas decorations.

slodave 11-26-2012 06:01 AM

Morning, Glen.

We consider Bermuda to be invasive and a weed out here.
