Had to show some discretion today. Bro was supposed to take me to doc for foot. Calls an hour before, says he is on the way...hour before is std appt reminder on his iPhone. 20 minutes later he calls and says his wife is on her way. 15 before appt calls and says his wife will pick me up in 10 minutes, takes 20 to get to doc. I was 15 minutes late. He had forgotten about the appt so I was late.

On the way home I asked sister in law to stop at schlotskis for a sandwich. She stops, but starts giving me lip about how I don't eat right and how her and me bro with ms eat so much healthier and how they would be happy to fix and bring me meals. Had to keep my mouth shut because yhey did that for me the first week I was home from the hospital and I was lucky to get one meal a day. That is why I started calling delivery places, and friends. I tried to cook, but I can't stay vertical long enough to do anything but stick something in the oven to warm.

Oh sure, rely on someone for food that can't even get me to a once a week, same day/time doc appointment on time. Q#%|!!

Doc says once wound is healed over I can start spending time vertical and see if it swells. Foot has been swollen and hurting more since thanksgiving Just because I sat in a chair without my foot up long enough to eat dinner and desert. Doc said I shouldn't have done that.

Aaaarrrgg!!

@#$@@#%^#$$^%& Tuesday hasn't been much better :(

Crap Richard! I don't know how you keep sane.

Went out with Sharyn last night to the movies - Skyfall
An enjoyable escape from reality. It's nice to do that again - been a while since we had a cuddle at the cinema. :)

The Hex Bug stuff is pretty neat. Very cute. Kids of the lower elementary school years love 'em. Even my daughter gets a kick out of it, though obviously it's a bit boyish.

What happened with the pax window?

Noah930 11-26-2012 10:32 PM

You fixed it!

Noah930 11-26-2012 10:34 PM

I had a spare NIB window switch. So I popped out the pax door one and replaced with the new spare. No change. So then I popped out the driver door one and voila, one of the wires had come undone. Plugged it back in and everything worked.

Thanks to your reminder that the switches are looped, I tried just swapping out the switches in the hope of finding a faulty one. Even better, they weren't faulty--just disconnected. Though how that happens inside the door is a mystery to me.

slodave 11-26-2012 10:38 PM

Yeah, big mystery. Water gets in there and the contacts corrode a bit. I have a heck of a time removing the wires from the switches. Glad you were able to get it fixed.

Hey, it's a 50/50 shot. You're pretty much going to pick the working one first. :D

Went to my childhood classmate's house tonight. He's the one whose eldest brother died last week. They had the funeral today and a dinner at their home tonight. It was good to see some old friends--from elementary school and high school. But I just felt really sad for the mom. I've been going to her house for the past 35 years. I went to school with her son (and effectively her family) from K-12. It was just really sad to see Mrs. K like that.

At least it's not like those old Christmas lights, where when one bulb burned out, they all went out and you have to test 100 bulbs to find the one that went. :D

Not only that, each switch has 5 wires. I got down to swapping out the last wire on the 2nd switch before I noted that it was disconnected (and that I didn't do that).

Heh heh. I'm sure my dad doesn't miss those days.
