It seems that folks in forums like this one don't really think no-rosion is worth the money or effort to switch to it

Outback Porsche 01-06-2013 04:15 PM

I'm not sold on it yet either (that article bagging it has set some doubts).

Never heard of it until the Wheeler Dealers show a few weeks ago. I though it was worthy of some investigation as the 944 is due for a flush and refill.

Rick V 01-06-2013 04:21 PM

It's a little more than just a flush required. It also has raised a few questions as per BMW water pumps. As reported by others in forum form.

I did notice that in my research.

A lot of work, but if you're only doing it once.....

The water pump thing does worry me a little, although that seems to be a cold temp problem when it's viscosity is higher. High viscosity is probably not going to be a problem out here.

From that no-rosion article, I'm more worried that it increases the weight of aluminium, thus suggesting it deposits material and can then cause 'hot spots'.

Like I said, not totally sold on it yet. I've got a couple of months before it gets cool enough in my garage for me to voluntarily work on any of my cars. Thus a couple of months to really research it. That article I read this morning has swayed me towards dropping the idea at the moment.

Interesting idea though I think I am going to dig into it a little further, just because

Evening Gents and Tweeze,

Still full of a cold, this cold really sucks. Headaches, sinus aches, throat aches, swollen glands in the throat, green chunky stuff in the chest, conjunctivitis in the eye, persist hacking hurting cough, did I mention the exploding head? Back to the medicine cabinet for me, and off to bed!! Again. Hubby says I am no fun at all.............

Outback Porsche 01-06-2013 04:59 PM

G'day Azzy.

Keep your c*** (I'm thinking that word is akin to the s*** word) to yourself please ;) and plenty of rest is good (and Milo).

azzarule 01-06-2013 05:05 PM

evening Jeff, yes a Milo and bed for me.

No s*** here, yet, today was a beautiful sunny almost "Canberra" day, chilly but beautiful sunshine.

Rick V 01-06-2013 05:06 PM

The whole east coast is hacking right along with Ya Azzy. I hope you feel better soon

GH85Carrera 01-06-2013 06:58 PM

Get better Azzy.

GH85Carrera 01-06-2013 07:15 PM

We went to see the movie Django today. It was a very long movie. We both liked it.

Icemaster 01-06-2013 07:48 PM

Evening boys. Feel better Azzy, chicken soup and hot tea for you.

Django up to par with his other stuff Glen? Saw Lincoln last night, that was friggin awesome.

GH85Carrera 01-06-2013 08:02 PM

Lincoln was great. Django is not near as good as Pulp Fiction. But PF is a benchmark movie. Django is worth seeing but has some gore in places. 2:45 in length is a long movie.

Why does reading bedtime stories to my kids make me more sleepy than they?

:) Where's the like button?

Probably because it's an opportunity for you to relax. Reading to my kids is a fond memory. I used to get in trouble from Sharyn for reading for too long, and/or winding the kids up instead of settling them down.

tweezers74 01-06-2013 10:37 PM

I fall asleep every night with my boys. Then I wake up in the middle of the freaking night with all the lights on and still in jeans and a t-shirt. No wonder my internal clock is out of whack.

Noah930 01-06-2013 10:49 PM

heh heh. In retrospect (but not at the time) it's kinda funny when one of the kids nudges me and cries out, "Daddy, read!" when I doze off while they're still waiting for the next page.
