Pine is not good to burn in a fireplace, or a woodstove. My luck I would end up with a chimney fire.

I'm still stuck and I can't seem to find a solution.

The kernel doesn't panic, it just freezes...

Gives me two lines of:
loading hfs+ file mach_kernel
the little | spins for a brief second and then frozen.

Arg....
