My 65 y/o boyfriend at 711 plays so I'm hoping one of these days he scores and throws a cut my way :)

Rick V 02-07-2013 04:38 AM

Really?
Can I have another SC and enough money to make a 73RS clone out of it? I'll be your bestest friend in the whole wide world.

Jferr006 02-07-2013 04:39 AM

Sure, why not :)

Rick V 02-07-2013 04:41 AM

Jferr006 02-07-2013 04:43 AM

Rick V 02-07-2013 04:44 AM

All jokes aside if you get in over your head let me know, I might be able to talk you through something or just do it

Jferr006 02-07-2013 04:56 AM

Thanks, after a few hundred dollars on tune-up stuff, we decided it was getting a V8...the electronics are just so unreliable.

azzarule 02-07-2013 04:56 AM

There is a few SBC's that have been put into those cars but IMO that is simply destroying the car.
The Bosch management system can be a little finicky but is solid.

Oh I agree, I've argued with the hubs over it and since he is the mechanic I'm kind of stuck.:(

Jferr006 02-07-2013 05:16 AM

Heh, Porsche killer maybe!

eh, he fixes jets all day, he's mechanically smarter than I...

Rick V 02-07-2013 05:20 AM

Is the car issue with the engine management or with the body stuff. The reason I ask is there is a lot of VW in the pre 85.5 944's. They are basically re-skinned 924S's

GH85Carrera 02-07-2013 05:22 AM

Good morning folks.

The girls in the ZZ Top video is just like the membership of the local El Camino Club. Yea, that's the ticket. Sure, the club is not a bunch of Grey haired geezers, it is chicks like in the ZZ Top video. Sure Really!

Jim Richards 02-07-2013 05:23 AM

Your real name is Walter Mitty, isn't it?

Rick V 02-07-2013 05:26 AM

I call dibs on the chick in denim. :) (if Beth will let me)

Jim Richards 02-07-2013 05:27 AM

Janet, I have mixed feelings over your yanking out the 944 engine, but I can understand the rationale. One of my friends has a SBC in a 951. The original turbo engine was constantly crapping out on him at the track, so he went for a more reliable lump. I would think the 944 engine would be more solid.
