I am breathing hard when I do a fourth of what she does! Again, surfing and pole dancing are the two sports that kick my butt. It's interesting when women hear that I pole dance. You have one camp that immediately envisions a whole bunch of women in outfits like that woman on the video and they get all mad at me or they go, "whoa! Yeah, I'm not into that." Like I am stripping for money or dancing around in my underwear (which by the way, I don't necessarily have any issue with that dependent on the situation. I would never do it myself). Some have even asked if we take off our clothes in class. What?!?! I have asked several of them to accompany me to a class to see what we do but it's like they are scared to even see. I have women in my class that are probably a size 16 and can flip better than most of the women in my class. We have women who are in college and I have a woman in my class who is 55 and looks like she's 40. She wears shorts and a t-shirt to class.

I used to get peeved when people would jump on me and immediately think "stripper" and almost accuse me of berating women just because I take a pole dancing class. I actually think it's ironic. If you saw how the women carried their bodies in class, moved, held their heads high and looked GORGEOUS doing it, even at a size 4 or size 16, you would realize that the women who were judging the women taking the class were in fact NOT supporting women. I love seeing all these women of all shapes, sizes, ages, work on their strength and health and feel sexy at the same time. I used to not tell people I took the class but now I try to show people it isn't what people think it is. Sometimes, yes, some women take it to the next level and dance in small outfits but if it's what they like and feel good in, who am I to say anything?

OK... time to get off my pole dancing soapbox...

We received one of the many stupid form letters from the purchasing department that some companies send out. It says that all invoices or work orders for any and all services we provide to them must be stamped in the field by the person that ordered the work. That way they know for sure the work was ordered and done.

We are wondering if we should tie the invoice to a rock and throw it down at the facility and have them mail it back or should we just use magic and hover and wait for them to come up and stamp it. If they will build a paved runway at each of their facilities we can land but our pilot does not like to land the Cessna on grass when the mapping camera is on board.

porsche4life 12-02-2013 02:19 PM

Get a drone you could toss out the window of the Cessna to deliver the invoice! ;)

Or you could ride along and skydive to deliver it... ;)

GH85Carrera 12-02-2013 02:24 PM

Yea, skydiving into a place like that would suck big time. And getting back home would take a while if I survived at all.

Well, if you are referring to pole dancing, you don't want your pole lubricated. You will slip and fall. In fact, we use chalk, like gymnasts. And I clean the pole with alcohol to take away any skin oils or anything that might make it slippery.

I know I am being no fun and not playing along but this is legit, guys! :)

Yes! Now you have got it!

And glitter... Your head is still at "stripper" pole dancing. This is pole fitness. No glitter in pole fitness. Maybe on the costumes? No, don't think I have ever seen glitter on costumes either...

It must help professional strippers since they all wear it. ;)

That is what I hear anyway.

Jim Richards 12-02-2013 04:03 PM

Glitter is gauche.;)

RKDinOKC 12-02-2013 04:05 PM

Maybe they have some sort of pole grip enhancing glitter that works better than chalk.

Wonder if we could Burlesque Dancing fitness craze started!
