Outback Porsche 03-11-2013 03:13 PM

Morning/Afternoon/Evening

You are lucky to have photos Glen. I have very few of my childhood and less of my parents/family prior to 1974/75. All of our stuff was blown away in a cyclone one Christmas eve many moons ago.

Hehe, I took the 750 for a little spin yesterday :)

A cyclone? Jesus, it's like the entire continent wants to kill people down there!

Jim Richards 03-11-2013 03:16 PM

I didn't want to "fight" with my brothers over my parents' stuff when they passed away. I have a few items, nothing cool like the photos Glen has.

You have to be very determined (or a little nutty) to be an Australian. ;)

Hehe. It did destroy any entire city and surprisingly, very few people died in that cyclone.

Jim Richards 03-11-2013 03:25 PM

We should all be a little nutty.

RKDinOKC 03-11-2013 03:31 PM

As nutty as squirrel poop? That's a LOT of nutty!

Hubby's sister who was born in January on the Australia Day after Cyclone Tracy was named Tracy, as a reminder.

Again I an lucky. My dad had a will. He named me the executor. My brother has no problem with it. The assets will be divided as the will specified. My brother does not even have an email address. He does not mess with computers at all. I send any email to his wife if I need to send them something. They did take my dad's iPad. I think I can get my SIL hooked on it. Maybe she can get my brother to use it. ;). I have a scanner so I "get" to scan the photos. We decided to let one of the cousins have a quilt that my great grandmother made for my great great grandmother. I have the letter that was written in the 1930s to pass it on to my grandmother. My cousin was explaining that to her grandchildren. 6 generations of family. That is cool. I just helped it along.

Change of subject. My poor deprived dog child only has 6 toys close by.

5 more are just outside the photo area.

Rick V 03-11-2013 04:07 PM

I think your dog child is having a competition with my grandkids for the most toys out.

GH85Carrera 03-11-2013 04:28 PM

So far their record is 21 toys in the living room.

The question is will she have a cow if you try and take one. Our Boston T. will gather them all up and take inventory of hers and the labs. Take one and she goes nuts, not mean just freaks out the number is not right.
