It is 75 degrees outside and we are under a winter storm advisory. 28 degrees in the morning. :(

Jim Richards 04-09-2013 12:09 PM

That's just totally nuts.

GH85Carrera 04-09-2013 12:18 PM

Yep, and it usually goes straight to Ricks house after it is done with us.

Jim Richards 04-09-2013 12:32 PM

That's bad, as I'm just a tad NE of Rick.

Jferr006 04-09-2013 12:42 PM

Are we still talking about bacon? :D I can't comment further without knowing that.

Jim Richards 04-09-2013 12:46 PM

It's always appropriate to talk about bacon, Janet. :)

RKDinOKC 04-09-2013 01:09 PM

mmmmmmm bacon. Is there anything it doesn't go with.

Well you just have to laugh about it, if not then it is very very sad, so I would rather laugh at the little twit!!

azzarule 04-09-2013 01:36 PM

Then came home to do something exciting.... cook dinner!

RKDinOKC 04-09-2013 02:12 PM

You gonna put bacon on it?

Rick V 04-09-2013 02:50 PM

Evening Y'all. Had a blast driving Lanna to work and home. I am so going to end up in jail driving that car

Jferr006 04-09-2013 03:26 PM

I have been having dreams about driving the 44 and today I had a panic when I went to order my conversion kit to find they don't sell it for the lt1 anymore. I say around freaking out and hubby did the logical rational thing and called them to find that they don't sell it as a kit anymore but, you can still buy all the pieces for the same price individually.

So ya only dreams for the next month and a half.

On my way home I discovered all the new spring squids (stupid newb riders)have come out to play. Greattt

GH85Carrera 04-09-2013 03:36 PM

Yanno this my be blasphemy, but I really can't care less about bacon. It is ok on a breakfast plate but I prefer sausage. It is ok on a burger, but a good burger does not need it. It is good on a club sandwich.

It is spring weather in Oklahoma today. It was a very pleasant 68 outside this morning on the commute to work. The forecast is for possible sever thunderstorms and tornadoes. Followed by sleet and freezing temperatures Wednesday morning. Sunny and 57 for Thursday.

I am so ready for spring. I want to leave my coat at the dry cleaners and then put it away for the year.

Is fire and brimstone next? Good grief that is crazy weather!

I went on a short tour of a local business with some other SAE members. The place is a small shop owned by a Cal Poly grad. They do air suspension conversions but make custom control systems that can make the spring rate linear, progressive, or whatever they want basically. Plus the height adjustment. Most customers sound like they do it just for looks but there are some nice performance benefits as far as having the spring rate be very progressive like an off road suspension. And you could lower the car for the track but raise it for the drive home or to get into your driveway.

I had to leave early as I had a class at noon. I was just going to skip it (the earthquakes class) but turned out a girl who went on the tour had a Mechanical Vibrations lab at noon so I graciously offered to take her back. She is quite pretty. :D Unfortunately, she has a boyfriend already- one of the other shop techs. :( On the way back we stopped on a hill and when the light turned green I reached down for the handbrake and jabbed for the clutch pedal but had to stop myself as it was the econobox Ford with the slushbox. That got us talking about manual transmissions and left foot vs. right foot braking, double clutching, etc. She always drives manuals. She would be hot anyway, but that just made her a 10.:)

Jferr006 04-09-2013 03:45 PM

I prefer sausage too, Glen :D

You will discover all pretty girls have a boyfriend. Many boyfriends are just place holders to keep the rif-raf away.
