The pond was designed around a 6000 gallon per hour pump originally. It sounded like Niagara falls. The last pump was 4,000 GPH and almost perfect. With the high water flow the filters do a better job of keep the pond clean. The leaves and debris get gathered up in the filters.

We are hoping for a good toad orgy again. One year the toads were mating like a bad porn movie and we had zillions of tadpoles. They did a great job of eating all the alge and the fish ate tadpoles by the ton. We ended up with very few toads.

With the blue tailed skinks and the tiny little brown ground snakes it is a little patch of wildlife.

Well, the toga party went OFF!

Me, myself and I (I was a bit of a Nigel) had a great time watching Pink Floyd and Portishead videos. The Stones Green Ginger Wine was flowing, and one of us got lucky (one had to sit in the corner). I suppose then, two of us got lucky.

GH85Carrera 05-01-2013 05:38 AM

Good morning folks.

We got a call from a new potential client to fly a small site in a nearby state. We worked up a quote and sent it to him. Since then 4 other companies from as far away as Canada have called up to quote flying the same project site for them. They all asked for a slightly different total area but they all covered the same core site. It is obvious the customer is shopping the entire country for prices to fly his site.

It would be crazy to send an aircraft from Canada or New Mexico to fly a site 150 miles from us. So they call us to fly it for them. Somehow their prices are all higher than what we quoted the client.

Morning all..... Hump Day, Hump Day,..... HUMP DAAAAYYYY!

Yesterday I was non-stop in the lab. I need a second monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse for at the lab bench.

Ah toga parties. Reminds me of this hilarious time my junior year of college and an unfortunate pledge that didn't make it through the night....lol.

This is a picture of the pond from a couple of years ago. The former dog is in the photo.

Sounds like a story that needs to be told, Andy. :)

a few of us were doing a case race before the party started in our rooms at the fraternity house and I think this pledge was the smallest out of all the pledges. Dedicated guy, always down early for everything. He was wearing teenage mutant ninja turtle sheets for his toga. He tried to pre-game with the few of us having a case race. Well he blacked out a little early and the biggest girl on campus ended up trying to take care of him on one of the couches. A few us tried to step in, but she was very intimidating in her king size toga. Towards the end of the night, a bunch of us were on the front porch just BSing and out she comes caring him like a rag doll from the back of his toga (he was hanging there inches off the ground) She gets outside and throws him up over her shoulder like nothing. It was very humorous to watch. Kind of reminded you of baby huey style, and off she trumped back to her dorm into the night with him.

Poor guy. Well the next day at the weekly brotherhood meeting, I had the opportunity of doing the historians report to make it into the meeting minutes, which is just a comic relief session for 10-20 minutes of the weekend. He had no idea how he ended up in her room and wouldn't speak of it. I guess he was hoping we didn't see it, but we had lots of pictures...hahaha. Who knows what happened back at the girls dorm... he and she hold that secret to this day...lol.

Morning all.

GH85Carrera 05-01-2013 07:39 AM

Great story Andy. I don't think I have been in a case race since I was 23 or so.

Noah930 05-01-2013 07:49 AM

Beautiful pond, Glen.

I took the dog for her morning walk today. We watched a sparrow eat a worm. The dog, in turn, wanted to eat the bird.
