Nice post Max, I'll take one, even if it is a blonde

Jferr006 05-10-2013 02:51 AM

Morning, Rick.

Rick V 05-10-2013 03:09 AM

Howdy Janet, or is it still Betty F***ing Crocker?

Outback Porsche 05-10-2013 03:39 AM

That sounds like a movie title.

Morning Rick/Janet

Morning Rick, Janet, Jeff,

Jeff make sure you limber up and warm up those "muscles" (ahem) before you play flog.

Outback Porsche 05-10-2013 03:46 AM

Haha! I googled otter pops, We have something similar called Super Dupers. I'm chomping on one right now. GD loves them, she knows where they live. She comes over and takes me to the freezer, points at it and says please. How can you say no?

azzarule 05-10-2013 03:47 AM

oh yeah, welcome Bernie, a picture of yourself is required to be on the thread, and you have to go to the start of the thread and read it entirely so you get the general idea of the personalities on the thread, and just to amuse us!

Yeah, I didn't do too bad considering how long between drinks. Managed a few bogies and no mooses. My back is a bit Weary Dunlop but surprisingly good.

Morning Everyone. Since when did school buses stop at every single house with a child instead of localized stops. We had two stops on our street when I was growing up. One at the top and one at the bottom. If you lived in the middle, pick one and walk that direction. I was behind a bus this morning (new route to work: Detour right now) that stopped at every other house and the parents are standing out with the kids.

Mornin' y'all. Taking the day off from w***. Sleeping in was fantastic, but lots to do today.

I wondered the same thing. We live in a nieghborhood but, it's in the "country" and the bus stops at each house. But it's better than kiddies getting snatched on the way to and from the bus. I'm sure that's very much part of it.

I hate you...still :p

Janet, I understand the mindset with the snatching, but when is being paranoid going too far.

When I was little it was always an understanding that the high school kids made sure all the little kids got home safe. I am also wondering if all the parents in these strips of road couldn't get together (you know talk to each other) and stand at one stop. We live in a country setting also, not a lot of exciting things happen around here.

There are no kids on my street :D :D :D :D :D

At my dad's house since his house is the corner lot the school system decided that dad's front yard was a good place for the bus stop. A bunch of litterbug noisy kids gathered in the front yard every school day. Dad was not happy. Get off my lawn!

Something finally changed and now the bus does not stop there.

We used to walk 5 miles to the bus stop, uphill, both ways. Six feet of snow. Now, get off my damn lawn!

Jim Richards 05-10-2013 05:34 AM

I don't think any school buses drive into our neighborhood in SoCal. The kids there seem to walk or bicycle more, unless they're old enough to drive a car.
