Mornin' Azzy. SmileWavy

We leave on Wednesday morning for the left coast, and we'll be there for a week and a half.

For the Stijn weekend, we could come down for part of a day, either that Saturday or Sunday.

what is the update on your foot, richard?

i need to go to bed. i haven't gotten much sleep since sunday, when my foot decided it was going to be spiteful. last night i got maybe two hours, the night before maybe four. i am nodding off. my wife is going to drive me to work in the morning, as the walk from my car is probably a quarter mile and it just exacerbates the pain and swelling. it took me about 15 minutes to make the walk from my desk to my car.

update on my job, now that i am on the subject: it is awesome. the people i work with are nice and supportive and the team camaraderie is amazing. i find it hard to believe at times.

D, so happy to hear the job is good. :) Amazing how a job that fulfills you and coworkers that are pleasant to work with can make such a huge difference, right? Good for you!

Richard, glad to hear the progress on your foot. I bet you are so happy to drive your car.

Jim, LOVE LOVE LOVE that picture! Babies make me happy. My best friend is having twins so I am going to be very happy in a several of months.

Got in trouble at work once for sexual harassment.

Co-worker ask how big my bonus check was. It was a percent of pay bonus and since I didn't want to tell the room any sort of number they could figure my pay from and it was in an office full of guys I said it was enough to last about 2 weeks at the nudie bar. He said I should be careful and not wear a shirt or hat with the company logo. We had an employee reprimanded for eating lunch at Hooter's because he parked the company truck with the logo on it out front. I said I didn't think it would matter because I didn't think anyone that cared if I was wearing a company logo would be there to see me. That's all that was said as I was just passing through the area.

The sexual harassment was that a female employee two offices away overheard me. She complained that I was talking in front of her about going to strip clubs and paying for a bunch girls to dance naked for me. Not sure how two offices away way was right in front of her let alone how the term nudie bar meant all that. but I had to apologize. I made sure I said the words nudie bar, stripe club, strippers, naked and boobies several times in the apology just for spite. She said that it was okay, and wasn't a big deal. Stupid #!?!ch.

From this experience the PC police asshats can go jump half-way over it.

hah, if people at my job actually cared about sexual harrasment..I would be a one hell of a liability...and I;m kinda proud of that. :)

Jim, I hate you again because you are going to Socal. have "fun"! :)

Jim Richards 06-28-2013 07:24 AM

Hahaha. Janet, you're gonna hate me 3 or 4 times per year until I retire. I have a lot of work left to do on our house. SmileWavy

Then, doing the brakes on the Jag tomorrow and headed to west palm on Monday to celebrate my birthday

tweezers74 06-28-2013 07:43 AM

My phone sometimes makes double posts and I am too lazy to delete a post.

And I am with you Janet. I would be guilty many times over.

RKDinOKC 06-28-2013 08:22 AM

I just found it difficult to believe joking about how big my bonus was by saying it would last 2 weeks at a nudie bar offended that stupid bible thumping B.

We have a girl that works in our office that is quite the flirt and is always throwing out sexual enuendos. One of the shop guys took her flirting seriously and texted her a picture of his private parts. She totally freaked out, turned him in and of course he got fired immediately.
