That is one thing I do like about my area, there are tons of old things here (not including Beth).
When Dave was here we took a quarter mile walk and he got to see his first confederate headstones

I think I am going to pillage and plunder, that way I won't have to multi-task, I am feeling lazy

Yes, it is a lot of grey area. I agree with you, but if you talk to any other hardcore "Yorkian" they will say it's the first capital and that's that. In the history books, it was a temporary location to draft the first articles while they were moving to Philly. York was never officially established as "this is our nations capital" There are a lot of heavy/hardcore history buffs around here, especially with Gettysburg right down the road.

Oklahoma City is unique in many strange ways. The population went from near zero to over 10,000 on April 23, 1889.

Yawn. I'm so not in the mood for w#$%.

Our town just had its 250th celebration. Chartered August 17, 1763

Cops were still out this morning for this so called government shut down. Not impressed at all. I thought it was suppose to be total chaos and anarchy.

Back when my office was not at home...

Co-worker mooned another older and wiser coworker. Could not get his pants up quick enough and got kicked in the bare behind. Look on the mooner's face when he realized his prank had backfired was priceless.

I would love to see the OKC 250 year celebration. That will be in the year 2139.

Maybe they will have flying cars by then.

Scottsville was founded in 1744 and I think the old bat from across the street was about 73 back then

Rick V 10-01-2013 08:59 AM

I just went into town (that in itself is a joke) and it was thunderdome, cars and trucks everywhere, people in the streets, real pandemonium. It looked like every other day

¡Hola, y'all!

Just over a week until work-cation. I can't wait.

Porsche-poor 10-01-2013 10:43 AM

nothing out of the norm here. Lots of ticked off federal workers. No issues at my office other than the fact of wondering why I had to pay taxes to people who are not working..............

Rick V 10-01-2013 11:19 AM

I noticed Jim did a drive by posting, I wonder if he is having to duck and weave up there in DC?

Porsche-poor 10-01-2013 11:25 AM

more like bop and slam!!!!

Rick V 10-01-2013 11:29 AM

It is amazing how many people where I live think it is actually going to be a lawless country if the government stays shut down. It's great fun to listen to them

Porsche-poor 10-01-2013 11:33 AM

Ask them for their address and tell them you will stop by when you need stuff..............

RKDinOKC 10-01-2013 11:52 AM

That Cuban Sandwich at the local latin grill is fantastic. It's a mix of pulled pork and ham with cheese on a toasted bun. Deliciousness. Only problem is I ate too much of it and now I just want to sleep.

Porsche-poor 10-01-2013 11:53 AM

ok I can't win.......
Dave brought back the fret board so I went to work on frets last night. Came up one short, went to order today back ordered for one month.

GH85Carrera 10-01-2013 01:18 PM

Just don't fret about it. ;)
