We had a fun autocross today. It was some real nice weather for the day.

This is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Firming up front sway bars allowed me to keep on the throttle through the big esses where I was having to get off the throttle and tap the brakes. Instead of the rear trying to come around it just 4 wheel drifted out a bit, nice. However, the increased speed coming off the esses into the carousel turn made my normal brake zone a little late and went 4 wheels off.

Dern it, my fastest lap was 2 seconds off FTD on a 90 second/lap course.

Who was FTD?

David Roy wasn't there. Since I basically foobared myself out of my last three runs even got beat by Mike in his red 997 turbo and a few others. FTD was a black honda S2000. The guy with the NSX moved away and won't be back.

At least the GTS still looked and sounded the best :)

We need to change our rules to get that HORRIBLE sounding Mazda to put a cork in it, or at least a muffler. That thing just was just obnoxious.

how's the farm? Had a great chicken marsala (spelling) this weekend and thought of your mushroom farm.

its going really well. i've had enough enough mushrooms to cook with them about twice a week. i'll be getting some king oysters soon and some yellow oysters will be going into the fruiting chamber soon. i have a LARGE tupperware of king oysters that are their own chamber and looking really cool. i'll be ordering culture for porcini and shiitake soon. unfortunately, my attempt at cloning shiitake's is a failure. i am not sure why. i may try it again.

Morning guys... Time to go home for lunch, and then its off to work... No rest for the wicked.
