Yeah I am going with a Savage 111
http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/11HUNTERXP |
that is a nice piece of equipment.
is there a reason you are going with the 7mm over the 300 win mag? |
Same range, but the 7 has a flatter trajectory. Higher velocities and less spin drift. AKA easier to hit stuff way over there.
True there is less getting there but I am looking for a soft target type of thing, I don't need to punch through a wall. I have other toys for that kind of fun |
hmm... interesting. the 7 is known as being especially good ballistically, good coefficient, etc.
I thought I said that. :)
yeah, just thinking out loud.
This is so tempting
Savage Model 110 Centerfire Rifle w/ Scope-UF103414830 - Gander Mountain |
what are the differences between the 110 and the 111?
The 110 is more of a general use spoon, the 111 is more of a hunter
do they have one that comes with a longer barrel?
They do but the 24 is optimal for a 168Gr in that caliber.
i'd want a 26" barrel for that caliber. but that's just me. i have no idea what i am talking about.
The 111 can be had in 26
Hey thanks. Learnt something new today :)

We have my Mother in law here for the night. She brought along my wife's 14 year old nephew's son. He is a good kid with straight A's in school. He "gets" to sleep on the couch and MIL is in the guest bedroom.
He is typical 14 year old. Either his cell phone or iPad is in his hand. Of course I am sitting here using my iPad and the MIL is using her iPad. My wife is using her iPad and the football game is on TV. My MIL has a Dr. apt tomorrow and the kid just rode along because he had nothing else to do at home. |
Butts...changed my...er uh, back to boobies. Do they make flavored glittter?
