G´day, guys.

As it happened, the Porsche club Sweden arranged a meet in my home village today. I am not a member but as I live next door I decided to join them. A turn out of some 30 cars. My 85 was among the earliest models. Mostly 996 and Boxsters. What was kind of disappointing was the crowd. It was pretty much couples in the age of 55-70 years old. They might as well have been a group of bird watchers. Well, you get the picture.

Hater!

Just kidding...still, not everyone in that age group acts their age. ;)

livi 06-06-2010 05:22 AM

You know its not the age as such. I was hoping for some enthusiastic tech and track conversations. A bit of Porsche passion. It was nice as a general gathering of people, but as mentioned, I could have had the same discussions in a stamp collectors reunion.

Well the count as of now is Peggy 3, stumps 0. Can ya guess what I have been doing? Think I will do some yard farming now.

RKDinOKC 06-06-2010 08:15 AM

Sounds like a whine and cheese meeting.

Formula car is fixed and running, I spent 2 hours yesterday strapped into the ***** doing launch control testing.

I love my job.

Glen, can you guys scan poster sized images at work?

I worked in my air conditioned garage all day. I got a lot done but I still am not done.

As to scanning posters, no. Our scanner is a 9x9 film scanner. I know some sources for poster scanning. Copyright is the big issue. Most companies will not touch anything that has a obvious copyright.

porsche4life 06-06-2010 09:55 PM

Glen I understand the legality of it... I'm not wanting to scan one for profit... I'm wanting to scan one to hang it on my wall... There are a few of us Pelicans that want a certain poster that another pelican has...

Dear God! I would hope that brought the car to a stop! Probably made a hell of a racket as well

Anyone drive a new Jag XJ yet? They pretty much let me test-drive whatever I want when I drive up in my Series. They're always happy to see it still running and not imploding on itself.
The outside of the XJ is mediocre at best, but the interior is PHENOMENAL! Leather and wood everywhere, heated and cooled seats, voice command everything, dash is entirely digital.

porsche4life 06-06-2010 10:32 PM
