Well I have grown a bit more than a little more disgusted with some of the policies here, and this is just making some decisions a little easier.
Like I said I left before I decided to do things that would make Chuck Norris say damn. I will address this tomorrow and my toolbox will not open until it is resolved. We are going to be shorthanded tomorrow since one of the heavy hitters is going to be in school, that only leaves two of us to do the hard stuff, and a couple of rejects to handle the simple crap. They will need me on the floor and not in the office.
I am going to drive Peggy, just as a subliminal statement.

I've done it! Turned a shift knob from balsa and birch. It's the most accurate copy that I know of in the world. :)

Pic is on FB.

Yanno Glen you don't have to drop the tank to put a pump in the Elky. You can just drop a Holly inline 'letric pump on the frame rail. You can just leave the old pump in there. Might add some weight though.

When I first did the fuel injection conversion I used an external pump. The noise was very annoying. I finally spent the time and money to put a quiet factory style pump in the tank.

Good luck tomorrow.

Morning, y'all. Sorry about the rotten situation you're going through at work, Rick. Working for other people invariably sucks.

Congrats on your shift knob, Dave. I envy your craftsmanship.

On my walk to the office this morning, I saw this (homeless?) guy on the street corner with his pants pulled halfway down dancing to the music in his head. Thankfully he didn't pull down his boxers. Anyway, this went on for a while. He finally ended his dance with big hop over one of his bags and then he pulled his pants up. He was just grinning from ear to ear and then started mumbling to himself. I guess he was working out the dance music selection for Act 2. I didn't bother to stick around to catch the rest of his act.

Good Morning folks.

I have vacation mindset syndrome. After today I am on vacation until the 24th. :)

Our pilot shot nine different sites yesterday and I have to get all of those photos to the customer today. The mapping of those sites will have to get done next week without me. It is amazing how barren parts of west Texas is. With the drought there is very little if anything green. There are almost no trees. It looks a lot like parts of Utah or Southern California desert. Fortunately the customer does not want pretty pictures, just accurate. :)

Jeez Rick, that sucks knobs. Yup, time for a law boffin.

Have a great (safe) trip Glen.

GH85Carrera 06-12-2014 05:49 AM

Thanks Jeff.

I will drink a beer for you. You would do the same for me. ;)

I expect I will drive close to 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) total.

Outback Porsche 06-12-2014 05:54 AM

Sure would Glen (what are mates for?). :)

Got an email today from those health and safety boneheads in HR. Supposedly, it's 'Men's Health Week' next week. They are putting on a morning tea for us. Apparently there's gunna be games of some sort.

I replied with, 'Games! I'm not doing the elephant walk with any of you lot!'

Funny, got no replies for some reason?

HHI944 06-12-2014 07:26 AM

Seriously.....if Jeff posts it, it's NSFWK

GH85Carrera 06-12-2014 08:05 AM

It is safe at my office, just not for my mind. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/pukeface.gif

We have just guys here. Burps at work are not discouraged, they are a challenge!

Yep, we are all still in grade school. ;)

And yes Tweeze, we are all pigs.

flipper35 06-12-2014 09:15 AM

Tooth extraction went fine. He wouldn't let me come back to work though. I do not like rinsing with salt water.

We have a filter here and it warned me before I finished the search on elephant walk. Evidently not the one I was thinking from grade school.

RKDinOKC 06-12-2014 10:59 AM

Oh you mean the sick teacher's elephant walk were the kid behind you can rack your nuts or cause you to face plant.

Porsche-poor 06-12-2014 11:04 AM

I'm sure that is not safe for work either.
