Porsche-poor 06-13-2014 03:23 PM

Evening Gents and Tweeze,

long time long time.

Busy with life I suppose, the only excuse I have.

Outback Porsche 06-13-2014 05:20 PM

G'day Azzy and gents.

Bloody cold one this weekend. I hate winter.

GH85Carrera 06-13-2014 05:23 PM

Stijn!!

Howdy from Flagstaff folks! :)

Azzy, how did you get inside my GPS? I updated it last month with the latest maps and now the nag-a-gator voice is an Aussie!

She got me here.

12.5 hrs total drive time from my garage to this motel room.

I used to call the old voice bichin Betty. I guess I will have to caller her bichin Shelia now.

We got some minor construction going on at one far end of the compound. OH&S wankers have decided that whenever we're outside everyone has to wear high vis vests. Even to walk 4 meters between buildings.

I ordered a high vis morph suit last week. It turned up yesterday. :)

I'm loving this 'new' Macbook.....it's sooooo tiny and stuff!!!

Flieger 06-13-2014 05:32 PM

That's good to hear, Glen.

Jeff, today I looked up Alice Springs on Wikipedia. I never knew a town in the middle of the outback could have that much history what with being the wartime capitol and having the satellite tracking station nearby, etc.

They mentioned the desert race which sounded almost normal (as in, they do it around here too) compared to camel racing (hmm, that sounds kinky) and the "regatta". For being an arid region you have some nice hills/rocks to go hike in and there look to be more than just tumbleweeds which is about all you'll see in our dry lakes.

Enjoy Flagstaff Glen!

Or Shazza!

Sheila is not used as a girls name so much. It's normally used to generalise the female gender.

HHI944 06-13-2014 05:36 PM

dear god Jeff, please don't share pics!

So, when do we book you into the spare room? ;)

As of last weekend (the desert race) I have now given myself about 1000 more photos to edit through. S'pose they'll join the queue with the Tassie holiday pics. ;)

Evening Y'all.
No bail money is need as I told Sid, but if Y'all want to take up a collection and buy my house I would be really good with that.
I was at a friends house helping him get his Frankenstein motorcycle up and running last night, it had to be ready for the burn out contest at a show this weekend. My friend builds custom bikes and has a sticker on his helmet that reads, "Jessie who?" and he can pull that off. Spent most of the evening making the brake system for him. Only a caliper on the back wheel, and only one pedal in the bike, it works the clutch and brake. I had a great time getting that thing right. Made the lines all hideaway. Then we tackled the wiring, what a joy that was.
Tomorrow Skilz, AKA my son is getting married so we have been busy getting ready for the stand up funeral.
I need sleep
