I'm so ready to get my suspension done... Just need to get the rest of it ordered...

Oh and who should I go to for an alignment and Corner balance? Dumonts or Cory Jump?

And if anyone says Lindsey Racing there will be blood shed....

Morning, guys!

G-man what sort of ride height do you run on your 911? I am trying to decide just where I want things. From waht I read the euro ride height is: 25.5" front 25" rear. Measured from the bottom of the center part of the fender lip to ground.

Don't really know the exact height, Glen, never measured it. (Really haven't...)
Can't measure it now either, since my car is up on blocks...
I'm pretty sure the front is a tad below Euro height.

here are some pics, car's dirty, I know.

One more is posted in our more private breakfast club social group section.
That one is taken when the car is on a slightly sloped driveway, so you know.
(EDIT: can't seem to figure out how to post pics there, I need an URL??)

Rick,
Pic taken during some decent cornering....
You have a pic when it is parked?

Morning dudes!!! Almost there Thursday!!!!

porsche4life 06-16-2010 11:06 PM

Glen & Richard-
Have either of you messed with Google Wave? I was just playing with it... Would be a neat tool for the PCA board if we could get everyone on there.... It even has the option to vote and stuff....

I'll send some invites if you guys think we could make it work...

When I got my last 944 Turbo the front was as low as the adjustments would go. It looked really aggressive, but didn't brake worth a darn. At an autocross I raised the front up 1/2 inches to level out the car and got much much better braking.

I am trying to get the perfect balance. Looks is not the most important item. I can’t go very low or I drag the tow hooks on every driveway. From my reading Euro height is 25.5 front 25 rear. I think I am going to shoot for 24.5 front & 24 rear. I have until next Tuesday to figure it out.

Morning gents... I'm off to work and then I will be packing.... Leaving Friday morn and going to spend the weekend at Lake Ft Gibson with my dads family... My folks are already there and mom says power outlets are scarce in the cabin and there is no Wifi!.... How will I survive....

RKDinOKC 06-17-2010 08:22 AM

Sid...Neither Dumont's, Cory, or even Lindsey's have their own alignment rack. Last alignment I had done was a Merls on south Shields. They do a LOT of racing stuff there. Scott at Bob Moore also does great alignments.

RKDinOKC 06-17-2010 08:22 AM

Glen, I would talk to Cory about ride heights and handling.

GH85Carrera 06-17-2010 08:23 AM

You are an Eagle Scout, you will manage. The withdrawl symptoms should only last a few days. :)

GH85Carrera 06-17-2010 08:23 AM

Scott at the dealer is doing my alingnment.

No Internet?? Then you use dirty magazines, like in the old days... :D ;)

RKDinOKC 06-17-2010 09:01 AM

This is Sidney's old days!?!?

Geronimo '74 06-17-2010 09:09 AM

True, let me rephrase

Sid, when WE were young, you know, before the internet blessed our existance, we used dirty magazines. We survived just fine. :):)

GH85Carrera 06-17-2010 09:14 AM

That is sooooo analog!
