Good morning guys.

Our autocross this weekend is on Saturday instead of Sunday. I don't know if I have ever autocrossed on Saturday before. If I have it was a long time ago. I really need to adjust my shifter before I autocross. I need to replace the plastic cup and the bottom of the shifter and the shift rod bushing. That will have to be a Sunday project.

I should be wrenching too but somehow I always have something else to do....
I'm aiming for next summer now

Just to steer back to the origins of this thread...

Stijn!!

I always have a few projects in mind. My daily driver is a 1986 model car and the Porsche is a 1985 with a combined mileage of 471,000 miles.

I still want to do the pedal bushings & the fuel lines in the engine compartment. I have a few projects for the El Camino as well. I just LOVE my air conditioned garage, the heat index was 110 yesterday.

I have little sympathy.... I still have to get my car to START before Saturday... If not I guess I will come up and watch... The Corolla will just be useless on the track, we determined that at the driver tech....

You know the basics, does it have fuel, air & spark? You replaced the crank sensors, did you get them back on to the correct one. Just swap the timing for crank position. Did you try the coil? The coil was my big nemesis when my car started acting up. List out what you have tried and maybe one of us can help. Double you money back guarantee!

I think Sidney's 944 is just pissed at him for buying the 924 race car.

GH85Carrera 07-15-2010 12:03 PM

Yea, it's probably a female 944 and jealous. :)

Richard, how many ribs were left over? It’s a good thing I ordered as much food as I did. All the other meat was gone.

RKDinOKC 07-15-2010 02:19 PM

Four ribs and one helping of fried okra.

It is rather coincidental isn't it...

I meant to check the battery terminals when I got off work... Plans got changed when things went south on a job of dads and a trip to the ER was required... His helper(moms little bro) got his hand smashed and it basically Popped his pinky... got five stitches....

livi 07-15-2010 10:49 PM

You'll be at the perfect place to find some uppers..

porsche4life 07-15-2010 11:28 PM

To quote Hunter S. Thompson....

a whole galaxy of multi-
colored uppers, downers, screamers,
laughers...

We've got 'em... I doubt the fill in Pharmacist would help me out though....

Good Friday morning!

Sid, have you checked the ground straps? A bad ground can cause lots of problems.

RKDinOKC 07-16-2010 06:50 AM

Does the car have gas in it. Running out of gas will cause starting problems. :)

GH85Carrera 07-16-2010 07:00 AM

Yea, I hear that it is important to have gas!

porsche4life 07-16-2010 08:58 PM

Got gas.... Going to pull the rail tomorrow and see what's going on after I get back from autocross.... Gotta go help Brian get his car home...
