Way cool Rick. Good on you.

Rick V 12-18-2014 03:03 PM

Oh and did I mention I also got a $7 an hour raise and the cost of living is 25% cheaper down there?
Wow I'm in a good enough mood to actually smile at this Christmas thing.

GH85Carrera 12-18-2014 04:16 PM

And never any S*** to shovel or drive through.

So more money, warm weather, and lower cost of living. I think I see a pattern. All positive.

Glad to hear something good is in the works, Gradcundulations.

Okay I have to admit, that elementary school recital sucked

Jim Richards 12-18-2014 04:54 PM

Fantastic! I'm hoping that you (and Beth, if she comes with you) have a highly successful trip out west! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pray.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pray.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/pray.gif

Awesome news!

tweezers74 12-18-2014 07:41 PM

Congrats, Rick!

Bwahahahaha! Our evil plan is working. Once Jim comes out this way, we only have a handful we have to brainwash into coming to our land of sunny skies and no snow! ;)

Outback Porsche 12-18-2014 11:50 PM

Great news Rick, congrats. :)

Rick V 12-19-2014 03:50 AM

Woohoo! The last workday for the year is done and dusted.

Rick V 12-19-2014 04:04 AM

Evening Jeff, can we trade 28's?

Outback Porsche 12-19-2014 04:20 AM

Nah, it's just got comfy :D

What's the plan for today? Anything exciting to be done?

Rick V 12-19-2014 04:36 AM

Just setting up a couple more interviews. I am planning on having papers on a whole lot of desks when I get there

GH85Carrera 12-19-2014 05:17 AM

Good Friday morning folks.

My wife is done with working for 2014. She is in sluffer mode practice for the rest of the year. In June she retires and goes into full time sluffer mode. She has been shedding responsibilities at work and setting up departments to run on their own. She was real happy to get rid of the payroll department and the HR department. She comes home and tells me stories of the bonehead moves those departments are doing. I don't understand much of it so I just nod and agree.

She is real ready to get away from the politics and high levels of BS.

I hate you, Jeff! :D

Rick V 12-19-2014 05:31 AM

I'll get to retire one of these days. maybe

Jim Richards 12-19-2014 05:34 AM

You're still a young'un

GH85Carrera 12-19-2014 05:37 AM

I just want to retire sooner than my last boss did. In his words he took "early retirement at age 92."

Doing something enjoyable for a living makes it easy to go to work.

Rick V 12-19-2014 05:45 AM

Well my plan was to walk away from the auto industry at the age of fifty and that isn't going to happen now. I realized back on 08 that I wouldn't be able to change careers. So my plan is to just stay put as long as the body will allow. Moving to a warm climate just added tn years to that ability. Yeah mixed feelings about that one.
Once that rich uncle I never met croaks and leaves it all to me I am gonna relax
