It is foggy and raining here. Seattle weather defined. We may have 3 or 4 inches of rain in the next three days.

I was going to change the brake fluid on the 911 this weekend. I do that every spring. I have not decided if I will do it with all the humidity we have or wait. 63 and foggy on Memorial day weekend is just not normal.

Well, don't hear no thunder so think it'll be safe to fire up the grill with the new flame guards and see if it will still char some beast.

Our first grill was one of those Char-broil that was mounted on a post and plumbed to our gas line. It had a layer of what looked like charcoal briquettes between the flame and the grill. Besides catching the grease, they also flavored whatever you cooked like it was cooked on charcoal instead of just gas. Since it was cemented in, it stayed with the old house.

I got some of them flavor briquettes and lined the bottom of this grill. Even though they are below the burners, they get hot enough they still add that charcoal flavor.

One of the houses I looked at when we were hunting a handicap accessible home the living room fireplace backed up to a rock wall in the kitchen. On the kitchen side, beside the oven/stove was a built in grill that used the fireplace flu. Thought that was a cool feature.

Finally broke down and fired up the central heat. House was staying 68°F but was just a bit uncomfortable. Just bumping it up to 70°F made it feel all warm and toasty. Expecting that since I turned the heater on the temps outside will come up just enough outside so the heater being on will make it too warm inside. I have an auto thermostat, but it has a 4 degree spread between running the heat and switching to a/c. Just wide enough that the heat doesn't come on until its too cold, then the a/c doesn't come back on till it's too warm. Needs some programming that uses both inside and outside temp sensors to decide whether to run the heat or the a/c so the inside temps vary less. And while it's at it, may as well throw the humidity in as a factor too. Anybody want to go into the thermostat business?

We just get used to rather frequent brake fluid flushing here. If you wait for low humidity, you'll wait a very long time.

76°F here and humidity is a low 60%

That is one reason I change the brake fluid every spring. I still have to factory original 30 year old master cylinder on the 911 and will have 160,000 miles when I get back from French Lick Indiana.

Yeah Joe wins the humidity battle here, Va is bad but not what I would call oppressive. We got to 75 today but the direct sun felt much warmer, I laid down in the yard and just let the sun warm me to the core, and no Wayne I was not wearing shoes, matter of fact I doubt I will have shoes on again until tuesday morning, unless I have to go to a store r sumptin
