I am waiting for that rich old uncle, whom I have never met to kick off and leave me everything. That sorry old S.O.B. just keeps hanging on

Is that bottle champaign, or bubble bath.....becuase either one would work for a celebration !

Champagne, but I like your thinking :D

Good morning everyone. We made it past Monday.

Rick, I guess the tornado did not get ya.

Our office is 1/2 mile from the RR tracks. The road goes over the tracks and the train does not have to slow down or blow the horn. I was just taking the trash to the curb and I could hear that low rumble of the train engine running hard. I thought to myself, gee it sound like a tornado. The only tornadoes I have ever seen were fortunately too far away to hear. I prefer to never hear one in person.

I've been too close to two tornadoes. They really do sound like a "train engine running hard."

Morning all. Off to the salt mines. Now where did I leave the dynamite.......

Where are you?

Muay Thai gets pretty intense and focuses a lot on striking which is good in a practical situation.

SW Wisconsin near Dubuque, IA. There is a guy in Stockton IL that teaches a mix, kind of like Keysi, Defense Lab, etc and he calls it "Mokuteki (Purpose) System of Training".

Anything real close is aerobic kickboxing or ti quan do and straight karate but I will look for Muay Thai and see if anything is around.

flipper35 06-09-2015 07:41 AM

So Rick, any more gigs for the big green one?

flipper35 06-09-2015 07:47 AM

OK Joe, how about these guys? Don't know how I missed them before but they showed up immediately when I looked for Dubuque Muay Thai.

Dubuque Martial Arts Group| Tri-State Muay Thai | Boxing | Grappling

It's Morning and I have awakened.

flipper35 06-09-2015 08:15 AM

I thought there was not much time when you were unawakened.

Looks pretty solid! They offer Kali as well. Between the two you'd get a pretty well-rounded self defense base.

OK. Lessons for noobs are on Wednesday and Em has ball games through June Mondays and Wedensdays. I will stop over an chat with them and grab a punch ticket to start. I better get on the treadmill hard now. Looking forward to getting back in well rounded shape instead of a round shape.

Porsche-poor 06-09-2015 10:50 AM

Round is good.

flipper35 06-09-2015 11:39 AM

Sometimes. It is great for E&E when you can roll down the hill faster than you can run. Uphill sucks though. I can't hit the ball over the fence so for me to hit a home run I hit it over the right fielders head and by the time I get home I want to grab that O2 tank from grams sitting in the stands. Airsoft is taking a toll far more than it did a few years ago.

With young kids fatigue is creeping in when it shouldn't be and the treadmill helps with cardio and that is about it. Cycling helps the legs though.

Mom is literally having another mental breakdown as I type this.

Last Friday someone was spying on the house, in the bushes across the street... There was a utility trailer there, been there about 10 years now. My dad confirmed and reconfirmed with her it was a dark colored car...yup, nuts!

Flavor of today. She calls me at work, on her new cell phone (so she can't be traced, duh) telling me people are infiltrating the home computers, stealing information, stealing money and it's all because of my dad. A company from California is spying on her...

Dad and I just spoke with the psychiatrist who explained how we will need to execute getting her taken away by ambulance and go with her to the hospital for mental evaluation.

Why does life have to suck so bad sometimes...??? WHY!?

porsche4life 06-09-2015 12:40 PM

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully getting in to a mental ward will get her leveled out and better.

flipper35 06-09-2015 01:17 PM

Sorry to hear that as well. Ditto Sid's well wishes.

GH85Carrera 06-09-2015 01:29 PM

Me three. Sad situation.
