I've seen worse.......

I bet the door is fixed and the wall moves.

I hung 3 doors and I think I suck at it. Wait...no thinking about it, I absolutely do suck at it. :(

We had a new fancy front door put in at our house several years ago. It was very spendy and my only real involvement was to haul it home and crank up the AC in the garage so we could paint it. I was smart enough to hire a real pro install it. It is cool to see a door that operates nice and smooth and the deadbolt turns with a slight flick of a thumb and finger. He put in a all new frame and drove long screws into the 2x4s of the wall. It should be pretty hard to kick in. Fortunately no one has tried.

The installer was great to watch. He made it look easy. I was real happy we hired him.

I've re-hung a couple of my doors. That's a completely different animal though.

Our old house was in a neighborhood that almost every house in the neighborhood except ours got broken into by them kicking in the front door. My Dad put in steel doors that just looked like wood and had steel frame. It worked the 25 years we lived there with the steel doors.

We decided that since it was Friday and the sun was out and we had worked all 5 days this week that we should leave 15 minutes early. Whoo hoooo party time. Friday night in the big city.

Wtf takes auto trader so long to actually post the friggin ad I paid for?!?

RKDinOKC 07-10-2015 03:03 PM

It's officially the weekend at my house.

Went and picked up my mower. It runs a bunch better. Bet they had to gap the plug and didn't want to admit they missed it when they did the "tune up"! They just gave me the bad gas excuse so they could charge me for a new carburetor the next time I bring it in.

They gotta have someone read it to make sure you aren't selling something besides the car. They also don't like you putting a hyperlink to another site in the ad.

Evening Y'all
When I used to own the house next door as a rental it needed a pile of work among the things was a new front door. Well I have a friend who is a carpenter and we did some labor trading, I worked on his truck, he hung a new front door, that he supplied, that came from a commercial building and was all steel, frame and all. He overbuilt the door jams and threshold to make sure it wasn't going anywhere and it didn't.
I sold the house a year or so later and it caught fire and when the big red truck got here and they crashed the door, the opted to go through the picture window. It was funny as hell to watch those guys try to kick, beat, hack through that door.

Evening Rick. I will be testing the car and myself tomorrow. Little 3 hour drive to Portland and back.

I hope that does not turn out like Gilligan's island 3 hour tour!

I did a 11 hours tour in my 911 twice just recently. No problems at all.

Lanna is a great trip car, I could drive her anywhere and be very comfortable

RKDinOKC 07-10-2015 06:15 PM

The 928 GTS was designed for road trips! The Cayenne does very well as well, but it is only an S not a GTS.

Brent,
I'd look at something like this over a Star. The triggers is meh, but they're reliable, durable and cheap.

Morning Y'all
Well it is again the weekend and it is yet again frigging raining. I think I am going to invest in a couple of goats, gonna be the only way I will ever be able to stay on top of my grass

Jim Richards 07-11-2015 06:09 AM

59 degrees outside when I walked the dog. It looks like another fine day in paradise. Too bad we're leaving it for DC. :(

GH85Carrera 07-11-2015 08:16 AM

Stijn!!

Jim, maybe you should just retire soon and move there. ;)

Jim Richards 07-11-2015 09:11 AM
