Good Monday morning.

Jeff, I had to look up Halloumi.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloumi

Halloumi/həˈluːmi/ (Greek: χαλλούμι); or Hellim[1] (Turkish); Arabic: حلوم‎ ḥallūm [ħalˈluːm]) is a Cypriot semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk......

I can say I have never heard of it but I admit to being a uncouth southern redneck. The description does not make my mouth water. :p

RKDinOKC 09-14-2015 07:58 AM

Good Morning

Isn't cheese what you say when you get yur picture taken to make it look like yur smilin and when you cut it, it smells bad enough you can blame the odor of farting on it?

It seems to be a nice unit. My 25 year old unit was a Yamaha. It has had a lot of use and is going to the curb at work. Someone can have some use from it.

The unit I now have in my office is a Pioneer. It is working fine so far.

The living-room needs a unit like that to run the various inputs and the 5 speakers. My office on has two front speakers so it is just there to be way better than the TV speakers. Since I watch TV and movies back here in the office it is nice to have better sound. We watch the F1 races in the living-room. I miss the screaming engines of the past but the surround sound system is way better for movies.

We have the version of that receive from a couple years ago. We like it and it sounds warmer than the Sony it replaced.

Anyone else tune into the Gooodwood Revival streaming live over the weekend?

I posted the link in OT but it got very few hits...kind of surprising considering the audience.

I watch as much as possible between feeding the little one and some much welcomed rain this weekend. The cars and racing were absolutely awesome.

flipper35 09-14-2015 08:18 AM

Oh, and late happy birthday D!

they can only smoke outside no indoor smoking.

Looks like you took the good weather with you and left the crappy stuff for Sid.

RKDinOKC 09-14-2015 08:53 AM

There is good weather in Seattle?

Porsche-poor 09-14-2015 09:42 AM

there was till Sid started running races. I think the blames falls right there.

GH85Carrera 09-14-2015 10:31 AM

Yep, it is Sidney's fault. Last time he came to Oklahoma we had great weather until he arrived and it went to HOT and hell.

Porsche-poor 09-14-2015 10:33 AM

Just got back from lunch with my brother at a place called The Garage...

Had a cheeseburger and Spicy Southwest Fries. Got just the beef burger, but there ws a choice of Beef, Turkey, Smoked Turkey, Garden pattie, or Buffalo. The fries had queso, green chilis, sour cream, and chipotle ranch dressing on em, YUM!

They also have a really good green chili burger, but I just cant take the spicy fries and the spicy burger at the same time. Besides there's enough sauce stuff on the fries for the burger too.

GH85Carrera 09-14-2015 11:01 AM

The Garage is good food but I wish they would cut WAY WAY back on the salt. It is always very salty. When it is so easy to add salt at the table I don't understand why they cook it so dang salty.

RKDinOKC 09-14-2015 11:25 AM

My brother commented that he thought his plain fries were tough, and he likes the saltiest thing you can purchase without it being an actual salt lick, McDonalds fries.

Maybe the queso, green chili, sour cream and chipotle ranch somehow masks the salt, but I didn't notice it being salty.

flipper35 09-14-2015 11:28 AM

The last time I ate at McDonalds is when they discontinued their hot mustard sauce so I had to eat a 1/4 pounder. It was like eating a beef flavored salt block. Haven't been back since.

Most places around here don't add much salt so a little to suit your taste is common. The steak places here always ask if you want A1 or something and I always tell them only if it is a bad steak.
